Imagine a resort like setting, replete with an open garden easily accessible; delicious meals, including monthly special occasions featuring guest musicians, holiday special meals; full time activities therapists; a stimulating activities program including individualized treatment plans; wonderfully caring caretakers providing hands on care daily; round the clock nursing care by skilled nurses; access to onsite medical, dental, physical therapy, podiatry. These are just some of offerings of the Oakton Place Memory Care at The Arlington. My husband has advanced dementia. This is our second facility for him. I have searched in two states for the right place. It is definitely this place. I am made to feel that not just my husband, but myself as well, are made to feel like we are part of the Arlington family. While no place is always perfect, the staff and leadership are always present to work with clients to find the right solution to any concerns, though they rarely happen here. I offer high praises. As an inpatient psychiatric MD, I know therapeutic environments when I see them. I offer highest praise to this memory care.
