My Mom was at Oak Hurst Rehab, she received great Nursing Care from the staff. Nurse Sharon, went above and beyond to show compassionate care to our Mom. PT & OT staff was patient with her, explained what they were doing, goals they were trying to accomplish. They provided updates to the family. My Mom is a Diabetic, she did not eat majority of the time because she said the meals were not good, cold & high carbs...At discharge, coordination of meds with Walmart pharmacy was not a smooth process. In all honesty, Walmart at the Proprietors DROPPED THE BALL. It took Walmart, one week to get her pain prescription filled, 7/13 - 7/20. Thank you Tracey!!

This is not the most glamorous place on earth but it is one of the most caring places. It hasn’t been easy to get to the point of admitting our mother needed this level of care, mostly because of a few admissions at other facilities and the outright fear we were left with during those stays but the relief we feel now is palpable. Mom is in the memory care wing and the staff is outstanding! Most have been here for many years and are devoted to this patient population. We never get our concerns dismissed and all of the staff are approachable and quick to find a solution. There are places much closer to my father’s home but even he doesn’t want her moved. We love this staff!

Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about Oak Harbor Healthcare in Mount Pleasant. Over the past two months, my father-in-law was a patient there following surgery and two separate hospital stays. As a retired physician, he understands the difference between good healthcare and truly exceptional care, and he consistently spoke highly of the team at Oak Harbor.

From the moment you walk through the front door, you’re treated with kindness and professionalism. Cam at the front desk always greeted us with a smile, and the administrative and insurance staff made a complicated process much easier to navigate. The nursing staff, rehabilitation team, LPNs, PAs, and physicians all worked together seamlessly to provide outstanding care.

What impressed us most was their communication. They kept our family informed every step of the way, answered our questions with patience, and treated my father-in-law with genuine respect and dignity. They also knew exactly when to encourage and challenge him, helping him reach his full rehabilitation potential before returning home.

The team went above and beyond to understand our specific home situation and carefully planned a safe, successful discharge. We truly felt like partners in his care throughout the entire process.

If you are looking for a rehabilitation facility where the staff genuinely cares about their patients and families, we recommend Oak Harbor Healthcare without hesitation. Thank you to every member of the Oak Harbor team for the compassion, expertise, and dedication you showed our family. We are deeply grateful.
