Nye Legacy

Nye Legacy is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Fremont, Nebraska, offering personalized skilled care, short-stay rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy services. Admissions are accepted seven days a week, including evenings, so care can begin without waiting for the next business day.

The rehabilitation program includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, with services that are Medicare-certified. Outpatient therapy is available to anyone in the community, whether transitioning from inpatient care, recovering from a work-related or sports injury, managing pain, or following a home exercise program. The team includes speech therapists specializing in cognition and swallowing needs, certified rehab nurses, and wound-certified nurses. A 90-degree hydrotherapy pool is available for aquatic therapy, which can ease movement and reduce pain, particularly for those with weight-bearing restrictions.

Residents receive round-the-clock care from a team of healthcare professionals. Every short-stay rehabilitation room is private, providing a quiet space for recovery without the disruption of a shared room. The center reports providing an average of 50 more minutes of therapy per week than the national average, with therapy available seven days a week as needed.

Beyond clinical care, Nye Legacy offers hospice suites providing skilled nursing combined with medical care and emotional support. An activity calendar averages 25 to 30 events per week to keep residents engaged and connected, and the community offers scheduling and transportation for medical appointments and outings.

For those who prefer to recover at home, Nye Health Services also provides Home Health Care delivered by the same team behind the campus programs, which can serve as a natural next step after short-stay rehabilitation to help maintain progress after returning home. Nye Health Services has also launched a SPEAK OUT!® speech therapy class for individuals with Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders, along with a Parkinson's Support Group.
