North Ridge Rehab ICU respiratory care unit is an excellent place for your family member who needs care. They provide an exceptional service and a am happy to know that my love one is taken care of. The Manager and staffs are always smiling, friendly and supportive. They answer any questions and assure me that my family member is in good hands. I have no doubt that my family member will be taken care of because she looks well kept and happy Thank you all for everything

I really wish there was an option to give 0 stars or even negative stars, for this place and their disgusting, incompetent, money hungry staff ARE complete jokes! I have a relative, who unfortunately has been residing here and upon myself visiting my relative multiple times there, have witnessed, documented and recorded nothing but shocking and disturbing events. When you first walk into the building the smell of urine is so horrendously heavy and strong and EVERYWHERE, that it makes it hard to breathe and my eyes tear up immediately. It takes bare minimum 30 minutes for a call light to be answered and that’s IF it’s answered. Numerous times I have witnessed my relative and other residents go up to 4 hours of their call light not being answered and I have even witnessed staff shutting off the call lights completely, so the resident couldn’t use them. (I even recorded that being done) Residents are left with fending for theirselves, if able to and sit in their excrements for hours on end and have dried up food all over their faces and clothing. Staff verbally and emotionally abuse their residents and act like the residents are a burden, when they finally do come into their room to so call help and again, that’s if they choose to help and if they choose to not help they make it known by degrading the residents further and walking out of their room. Don’t even get me going on the buildings cleanliness, for it is absolutely disgusting (hence the entire place smelling heavily of urine) and has had a cockroach issue there for a super long time. This place needs to be completely shut down and the staff needs to heavily fined out of their own personal financial pockets. Forget reporting this place to Medicare nor department of human services because they don’t care either and will do nothing, except maybe financially fine them, but with the money this place brings in off of the residents, it has no problem just paying the fine until next time they are fined and it’s just wash and repeat. The biggest thing that could be done is making this a news report, so that way DHS and everyone else are forced to shut this place down, once EVERYONE in the public knows and makes an uproar to force this place closed. Even the company’s Facebook page is a laughable joke, they make it all about their so called wonderful staff (yes, let’s all laugh together) and they rarely and I am serious on the rarely part post to prove anything positive about the residents there. Not surprised. Also, if you leave a negative review, don’t use your real name for they are famous for retaliating towards your loved one residing there.

When we first arrived, the EMTs transporting my fiancé warned us that this is the type of facility that you have to advocate hard for your loved one but e were forced to come here July 2025 as they are one of only a small handful of places that will take someone with a trach. Though the trach has been removed, it's apparently impossible to be transferred to a different facility. The therapy, provided by 3rd-party Reliant Therapy has had massive amounts of turnover during our time here, including a big exodus of therapists a few months. We overhead grumblings of ethical issues, but I honestly don't know anymore than that. Due to the staffing issues, we've been unable to get the therapy my fiancé needs. As well, the therapy team doesn't communicate the expectations & goals, resulting in her being cut off from physical therapy as she hasn't made the progress they were looking for, even though the therapist didn't seem to be working towards that specific goal the whole time he's been working with her. We've asked for approval to hire outside therapists to work with her but no one will get back to us on whether that's ok or not. Her surgeon and other doctors outside the facility believe she can get better if she's just given the therapy, but this place seems hell-bent to deny it. When we can get nursing staff into the room during the day, they clearly care about her but quite often its so difficult to get them in the room that I've been very proficient at changing her and cleaning her up, myself. The overnight staff don't seem to pay her much attention even she's non-verbal currently & spastic so she can't advocate for herself. I had to write up a few grievance forms about it. As well, her room is normally short on supplies that help us keep her clean. It seems the nursing staff doesn't have all the updates on her health as they were surprised when I mentioned needing bandages for her stoma even though the trach had been removed in October. I guess I shouldn't be surprised the stoma isn't closed yet. If I had my way, we would've transferred to a different facility long ago. Edit: today we found a cockroach in her room

Our family member was a resident of North Ridge for nine months following partial amputations of each foot caused by diabetes. Overall, North Ridge was as good or better than what we heard about other facilities that provide care to low income individuals, with one major exception.<br><br>As with most institutions, the food was marginal, especially for somebody with dietary restrictions. Too much money was spent having outside food brought in.<br><br>Two months into her stay, she developed an infection in one of her feet. It became septic, leading to a partial leg amputation. That was very negative and unexpected. Yet, we are thankful that Kaden, an evening nurse, recognized she was in an emergency state and got her to hospital. The outcome could have been so much worse.<br><br>Nursing staff Kaden, Michael, and Shadrach/Suduko, made her feel cared about, not just a number. Her OT/PT pro Jacob really clicked with her and was top notch.<br><br>Unfortunately, care wasn’t consistent across the board. Responding to her requests for assistance were often delayed and outright ignored. As a result, she developed sores while in the TCU. On the NH side, taking and charting vitals became an area of concern.<br><br>Overall, I give North Ridge 3 stars because of the meals, inconsistent quality staff experiences and the additional amputation which we believe could have been avoided had issues with a wound vac been addressed. After the amputation our family member insisted the nurse involved be removed from her care team. We were told that care was not a factor but we will never really know.

Thanks to Dennis for overseeing and caring for my wound on my foot as well as my medications, not only Dennis but the many other nurses that came to bound my wound. I also want to thank the Physical Therapy team who help keep my legs able to walk like Surbi, Bob, and so many others even the people from OT who had pitched in also. Thank you also to the many aids that came to help during the days and nights to make me comfortable.
