Recently we placed our sister at Niles Way Senior Living facility. We can’t say enough positive things to express how kind and caring the staff were…from the director Kim, the nursing staff, the business manager and especially the building manager. While unloading my sister’s possessions, the building manager, Ray, helped us by providing a cart to carry items into the building as well as physically assisting with items. Ray remained available and checked in to see if any additional assistance was needed throughout the day. The room had been freshly painted prior to her move in and was very clean. One item needed to be repaired and was taken care of immediately. The director Kim checked in repeatedly and brought down various staff members to begin introducing my sister to the staff. At lunchtime and dinnertime, she was taken to the dining room so she could begin adjusting to the facility routines. Kim made sure we had time to speak with her in her office and answered any questions we had. Amanda, the business manager, took time to speak with us to ensure that we knew what the billing process is and how to navigate it. Overall, it was a very comfortable day and helped us to feel that our sister is in good hands. Thank you Niles Way staff! Cheryl & Wayne

A family member was there temporarily in building #2. It is a higher-priced facility, but the lowest in living quality. Building #3 seems to be better run, and cleaner, and for the more cognitive people. Building #2 is not "family living", and no smiling faces as advertised. The staff are nice, but the entire atmosphere is depressing. Seemed to be mostly residents who are just existing with seldom to zero family visiting in building 2. Those who cannot think for themselves lay or sit around in the community room doing nothing all day, depressed. There is an extreme lack of activities in building 2. I've been to other assisted living places, and Building #2 is not even close to other places. The self-help coffee for whoever is not kept up. Building 2 has extremely limited activity. The kitchen floor was not cleaned from one meal to the next. The kitchen and porch were cleaned only when a resident complained. Resident all seemed forlorn for the most part. Thank goodness for the caring staff. Residents in wheelchairs that smoke have a very difficult time going in and out to the porch area. The front porch is dismal with cigarette butts scattered and seldom cleaned if ever. The main building is much nicer and clean, has an activity room, and the self-help coffee area is kept up nicely.

i worked at this facility as a nurse for about five months and left because I no longer felt the environment was safe for staff or residents. During my time there, I frequently had to oversee two units at once, including the dementia floor, which made it difficult to provide proper attention and care to all residents. I observed several situations involving resident safety that were very concerning, including elopement incidents and falls that were not always documented or reported appropriately. In my opinion, these issues were not handled with the urgency or transparency they deserved. There were also ongoing problems with staff professionalism and accountability that contributed to an unsafe atmosphere. I ultimately decided to resign to protect my nursing license and to uphold the standards of care I believe every resident deserves. I hope there’s a change in management or this place won’t last to much longer since everything is covered up and swept under the rug. I think it’s funny my review keeps being removed this is the 10th time I’ve had to repost it and I will continue to do so 🤷🏾‍♀️

My Aunt Nancy was a resident at Niles Way assisted-living for two years. She was very active and had many friends there. The staff treated her like family and I never regretted the decision to select Niles Way. Highly recommend!

My brother is a resident at Niles Way and I can not say enough good things about the facility. The staff always does a great job and makes me feel confident in his care. They treat me like family and I would recommend to anyone who needs some help taking care of themselves.
