I’ve had two family members that have received care @ nhc sequatchie. The faculty was all so kind and treated both family members with the up most respect & care. My mom received care in 2017 and my brother n law received care from 2023 until his passing this month 4/25. We are very satisfied with the care they received & would recommend nhc sequatchie to anyone. The facility is also kept clean and doesn’t smell . The faculty always answered any questions we had .

An elderly family member is getting rehab services. The facility was built probably in the '90's and the rooms are small and crowded, although the place is clean and the staff is friendly. It often takes 15-30 minutes to get an assistant to show up, depending on the time of day, and day of the week. The rehab staff is young and energetic, and sometimes harsh and demanding, not fully understanding the limits of old age yet. The TV's are small, but they have standard definition cable TV channels. There are no bedside speakers, however, so two TV's can become loud and competitive. The beds are older models and lack modern features like cell phone chargers. The room telephones hardly work. Pure Wick devices to conveniently enable urine collection are not allowed! The one doctor for the facility is as old as the patients and is hard to understand since he has a Korean accent. His visits can be weekly or monthly, and he has only a few minutes to spend with each patient due to his heavy load. The nurses are competent but seem overworked. The facility is constantly looking for workers and seems understaffed. The food is pretty good and reliable, and patients can order other choices from the kitchen at any time, like soups, sandwiches, and ice cream. There are social programs and activities available. There is no private transportation service that the facility provides, or available in this town, but there is a county service called SETHRA that can be reserved with two weeks' notice. NHC is about as good as it gets in rural TN.

the social workers and nurses do nothing for the patients and consistently do illegal activities. they send their social workers around in the mornings to ask patients if they want to go home, and if they say yes—they allow them. how pathetic. seriously the worst place ever.

If I could give them no stars I would. On the very first night she feel and busted open her head because a CNA left her in the restroom alone. The third day she wet herself and they just left her in her wheelchair for us to clean up. Today the nurse said 'She's not allowed to have pull ups on unless approved by the admin and she has the clothe sheet under her so if she goes that will catch it,' in a very rude tone. If you want a good place to put your Granny pick somewhere else. Anywhere else.
