Jahnae the Lpn is so wonderful to my mother I watch her go above and beyond for not just my mother but other residents we are beyond great for her Latoya Rn supervisor Dawn cna Samantha cna are she remember every last one by name and can tell me everything they have done for her…..Greg Hardy appreciates the girls…

My Aunt Joan has dementia and has been living at The New Paltz Center for the past few years now. The staff and medical team are always so patient with her and sweet to her. I also really love the “Activities” team. Aunt Joan is involved in activities daily and even if she falls asleep during them, she still wants to be there, to be surrounded by her community/other residents. In life she was a teacher and a nurse and so she very much thrives being in community. I am so thankful that her doctor found The New Paltz Center for her! - with gratitude, her “niece Katy”

I would highly recommend New Paltz Rehab Center. Everyone from the top on down are so sympathetic and caring to your loved ones. You can relax knowing that you left your loved ones in good hands. Their Rehab record is excellent, getting the patients back on their feet fast. I highly recommend this facility.

My grandmother's fall was entirely due to negligence, as the outdated beds only have one rail. The aid refused to discuss her fall with me because I am not her power of attorney, but the nurse practitioner later asked my sister and me the same questions we've been answering for the past two weeks. Since there are no cameras in the patient’s room, we cannot determine if she hit her head. My Nana cannot advocate for herself, so even though she claims she’s not in pain, we won’t know her condition until much later. Twice now, she has been left with her door closed and curtains drawn in a room set at 80°, which only increases her confusion. The facility is severely understaffed following her fall. She was moved to the nursing station for closer observation, where she sat staring at a wall for hours without access to water or any other needs. The aides lack understanding of narrative care and fail to communicate what they are doing to her; instead, they simply pull her arm for blood pressure checks. This is the worst facility my grandmother has ever been in, and we are actively working to get her home as soon as possible. If there are options nearby, such as a home physical therapy aide or Ellenville Regional Hospital with physical therapy services, I strongly recommend considering them first. Her cognition has declined significantly due to the neglect and lack of stimulation she has endured.
