If you have a loved one here, please keep a close watch. Ours suddenly declined, and the NP refused to do anything for weeks except drug him with pain medication. I kept asking for a UA and she refused. He was not eating or drinking and became delirious. He finally rolled out of bed onto the floor (side rails are dangerous you know). He was extremely frail, on blood thinners, and hit his face and head. We had to ask to have him evaluated at the ER. He had an infection, which is exactly what we kept insisting. The NP will blame everything on someone's age and existing condition (cancer) and can not be bothered to figure out what is wrong. They also seem to do things out of spite. They put a screamer in our loved ones room even though there are tons of other empty rooms. They will take the call bells and throw them on the floor or keep them on the wall so the residents can't reach them.
