My dad was here for two weeks and the CNAs were really attentive and quick to respond. The physical therapists worked hard with him and helped him get more mobility back than we thought he would. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for PT and Skilled Nursing for their loved ones.

I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank Jennifer, the Business Office Manager for the exceptional support she provided throughout the entire process of getting my family member admitted to this facility. She took the time to answer every question, explain each step clearly, and make sure we felt supported throughout the process. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication made a difficult transition much easier for our family.

The rehab here has been a blessing! It has given me mental and emotional confidence when I return home. The staff here always give positive words of encouragement. Danielle with OT, My angel, she has taught me so much about how to get out of bed, get, dressed, and go to the bathroom safely. She always went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Ashlyn with PT taught me different strategies to make sure I push up from my wheelchair correctly and really worked on my walking! I wasn’t not walking when I came here due to pain but with the help of Danielle and Ashlyn I was able to walk again and be safe enough to go home!! I truly can’t put into words how much I appreciate this place!

While the staff was friendly and spoke kindly to both patients and families, our overall experience was disappointing. The physical therapy was excellent, and we saw clear improvement in my mother’s mobility. However, the staff-to-patient ratio appeared too low to meet patient needs consistently. Therapy gains were not reinforced in the evenings, and staff were sometimes too forceful when assisting her. As a dementia patient, she needed additional time to process instructions. There were repeated issues with linens, bathing schedules, and consistency of care—particularly on weekends and evenings. Showers were often scheduled so late that she was nearly asleep. Requests made at admission were not consistently honored. We also experienced ongoing concerns with mealtime assistance and basic personal care, which required family presence to ensure her needs were met. The discharge process lacked clarity and assistance. While some aspects of care were positive, families should be prepared to advocate strongly and be present often. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility.

I had a wonderful experience at Methodist Transitional Care Center in DeSoto, TX. My mother was a patient there for 21 days. The entire staff — from the nurses and therapists to the administrative team — was professional, compassionate, and truly dedicated to patient care. They made sure every need was met and went above and beyond to make the transition from hospital to recovery smooth and comfortable. The facility is clean, well-organized, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The therapy team did an excellent job helping me regain my strength and independence, and the nurses were always attentive and kind. You can tell that everyone here genuinely cares about the patients and their families. I would highly recommend Methodist Transitional Care Center to anyone in need of short-term rehabilitation or skilled nursing care. They truly set the standard for quality care and compassion.
