It's been hard to write this review. There aren't enough stars to click.<br>In March of 2021 we moved my parents into Melody Living. 6 weeks later, my dad passed, he was in hospice, we knew it was happening. During the short 6 week period before he passed, my mom built a strong community of friends at Melody Living, she never felt alone, not even after he passed. She made friends that would sit in her room with her, at my dad's bedside until all hours of the night. That's what you get in a strong community. I can't express how grateful I was to have my mom at Melody Living. My mother passed away in May after living at Melody Living for over 5 years. During those 5 years, she didn't have a care in the world, and neither did we when it came to my mom.<br>She stayed busy every day with all the wonderful activities and outings. She made so many close friends, her life was full and she never had to feel like a burden to her children. She always told me "no kitchen is big enough for 2 women, I will never live with you."<br>Everyone at Melody Living is Amazing. Robin, the Life Enrichment Director made my Mom feel so special, as she does every resident. She really felt like part of our family, and still does. Kevin the Chef is amazing, in my mom's final weeks he tried anything to get her to eat, I'll always remember that. Basically, when you live at Melody Living, you are family.<br>I highly recommend Melody Living Lake in the Hills.

My family recently toured Melody Living while searching for a new assisted living community for my father after he needed to vacate his current facility. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautiful and well maintained the community was. The environment felt warm and welcoming, and both the staff and residents genuinely seemed happy to be there.<br><br>Tiffany, who guided us through the tour, was exceptional. She was approachable, compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain details we had not even considered and answered our questions with patience and care.<br><br>Although, after the clinical assessment, it was determined that Melody Living would not be able to meet the level of care my father currently needs, I still came away deeply impressed with the community. I was honestly disappointed because I had hoped it might become my father’s forever home.<br><br>Even while delivering difficult news, Tiffany remained kind, empathetic, and supportive, offering assistance in any way she could. That level of compassion speaks volumes about the culture of care at Melody Living.<br><br>I would absolutely recommend Melody Living to families searching for a caring, welcoming, and beautifully maintained community for their loved one.

My Mom lived here for 8 months. They rapidly moved her from independent to assisted to memory care with no changes in her condition medically or otherwise. They lure you in with reasonable pricing and then demand spreading her based on “safety concerns” it’s a complete scam. The “chef” prepared meals consist of reheated frozen and canned food from Sysco and highly doubt their “chef” has any formal training. The facility is newer and modern but their approach is not patient based. My Mom was placed in front of the TV all day everyday and she definitely didn’t have the stimulation she needed. The constant overturning of staff was unbelievable, everytime I visited I was told that staff members had left and no longer worked there, which is a huge red flag. They also violated my POA and administered medications without my approval even after several calls reminding them not to do so. In summary, it was a huge disappointment. Mom is currently happily living in Thailand at a facility there.

I was responsible for finding an assisted living facility for a friend of mine. I looked at many and chose Melody Living. The sales staff were great and the facility met all his needs.<br>I did not regret my choice. The facility is beautiful, the nursing staff were great and the support staff were helpful in dealing with any changes that were needed.

My parents had been in a high quality senior care facility in Chicago, but after my father's death we wanted my mother to be closer to us. She suffered from a progressive dementia and needed care on virtually every level. We heard about Melody Living and decided to investigate. Our biggest concern was that we wanted her care to be as good as her former residence. Upon visiting the facility we found it to be a beautiful and functional design while emphasizing comfort and safety for the residents. After interviewing management and observing activities and daily life there, we decided to give it a try. On the very first day, we started to feel that we had made a good decision. That feeling grew stronger with each day thereafter. We realized that Melody Living was not simply as good as her former residence, it was measurably better. I visited my mother virtually every day and saw how the staff and management worked with her in the most caring fashion. She was not an easy case, as she had some behavioral difficulties related to her dementia. But rather than pushing the problems off on the family or ignoring the problems, management at Melody Living sought innovative approaches to solving or avoiding the problems and were ultimately successful. The result was a marked improvement in my mother's quality of life during her last months. During my daily visits in the 8 months of my mother's residence there was not a single incident which caused me concern and there were countless which which put me at ease regarding her care. I simply can not give high enough praise to this place. It is well managed from the top all the way down.
