My family and I were referred to Amada Senior Health Elgin Cares by the admissions coordinator at my father’s rehabilitation center. We were in the middle of a crisis as we need to find a 24-hour care minder to come in and be with my father at the rehabilitation center. Amada Senior Health Elgin Cares Agency immediately stepped in and with almost no notice helped us through this very urgent situation and started providing 24-hour round the clock care minder’s for my father. They did not even hesitate. They jumped right in and said yes we will help you and they followed through by providing everything they said they would in a smooth flawless transition from shift to shift. I cannot stress enough how kind and professional and caring every single person I came into contact with was. No matter the time of day someone always answered my calls with kindness and courtesy and enthusiasm. Although everyone at the Agency was incredible- there were some staff that went above and beyond. Stella the Care Coordinator was excellent. Very knowledgeable and professional. Kenya the Care Scheduler was AMAZING! She had the very difficult job of scheduling a weeks worth of 24-hour shifts. And she did so with great enthusiasm and professionalism and respect and caring. Amber was very helpful with the initial paperwork. And last but not least- LaLa the wonderful care minder who took great care of my Dad. She went above and beyond to make sure my Dad was looked after. She was very proactive and took steps to get help from nursing staff if needed. And equally important she tried to regularly engage in conversation with my father to keep him aware of his surroundings. I cannot say enough about this agency. They are excellent. And my family and I will be using them for all of our future needs while caring for 89 year old parents.
