The staff at Mariella of Arlington Heights Memory Care took excellent care of my Dad.  Everyone on the team was kind, understanding and caring.  Mariella has an amazing nursing team.  They closely look after their patients/residents and inform the family of all changes to their patient’s condition.  Mariella has multiple caregivers to assist with residents' daily needs.  The residents form bonds with their nurses and caregivers which offers comfort to the family.  Making the decision to place my Dad in a memory care facility was difficult and I feel that Mariella was the perfect place to care for my Dad.

This place has gone through some name changes in recent years, due to corporate transactions and restructurings that had nothing directly to do with it. What has not changed is the absolutely top-tier level of care that they provide. My father was there for the end of his life several years ago, and when my mother later needed the same care, it was an absolute no-brainer where to take her. Through all of the years I spent at home caregiving for both parents, and dealing with hundreds of different healthcare people and dozens of different providers and facilities, this place is at the top of my list for the best experiences I've had and the best care both parents have gotten. This is not a facility that tries to impress with irrelevancies like extra-huge rooms or extra-fancy fixtures on the walls; these people simply do their jobs at a very high level. Every resident is treated with compassion and dignity, no need is unmet, care is expertly provided; and there's a warmth and homey vibe to it simply from being small enough that every resident is well-known to every employee. I don't give out praise lightly - or even medium-ly - but I have nothing but praise for what these people have done for both of my parents.

If you are searching for a memory care community in the Arlington Heights area, Mariella should be at the top of her list! They provide exceptional care in a non medical, homelike environment. Mariella is a beautiful community that offers Memory Care, the staff is great and the layout is very homey. I had referred a family there and they fell in love with the community.
