The staff are very helpful, very polite and very responsive. No complaints about anything besides showers one day a week. The housekeepers are very good, and CNA Victoria is great. Katelynn the social worker does a good job. They have my routine down. The maintenance man came in and fixed my bed whenever I had an issue. Zero complaints. Everything is good.

My mom was in this horrendous hell hole after a fall. She fell twice in the first hour ahe was there. When she became extremely ill, they wouldn't let her go until I threatened the administration that I was going to call the police,she was being kept against her will,as in kidnapping. They finally took her to St lukes when she was near death

I've been at Maple Ridge since September 2025. My past experience includes being a State Surveyor for 10+ years. I think that equips me to give an honest review through discerning eyes. When I first got here, I must admit, it was a bit of an adjustment, as I'm sure it is for anyone moving into a nursing home. I was angry and took it out on staff, though I knew my situation was not caused by them. They hung in there with me though!<br><br>The building itself is older, but it is kept clean.<br>The management here is top notch, always willing to listen. If you have a realistic or maybe not so realistic concern, 🤣 they do their best to address it and resolve it. They seem to care. The administrator Lindsay is a sweetheart who you will often see walking through the halls and even if pressed for time, will stop to say hello or listen to any concern a resident may have. She is very approachable and has a gentle demeanor. Don't let that fool you though for if there is a concern, She Always follows up!<br>The nursing staff and nursing assistants are caring people who, for the most part, provid good care. They are also fun to joke around with/tease. Once you know them and feel comfortable, I, in fact, highly encourage it.😉 The food is generally good, but that depends on your taste. It's institutional cooking, so don't expect home cooked meals.<br>Their OT/PT staff are wonderful. Brian, one of the primary PTs is a goofball. He makes going to therapy fun and feel like a lot less work than it actually is. I came here as a new amputee with multiple other health concerns. Today, I am almost ready to move from here to a lesser restrictive setting. If I were unable to reach that milestone I would have no problem staying here. You get good care. I also have never once had anything gone missing from my room.<br>So, in short, 🤣🤣🤣 this is a nursing home. You need to or your family needs to communicate. The staff are not mind-readers. They do however get to know their residents (even the heavier care ones) and all the intricacies that are involved in caring for them. You must be patient. You may have to wait for whatever you need unless it's an emergency. If you have patience and communicate that is 1/2 the battle in you or your loved ones adjustment. If needed I will have no problem coming back here. In fact, it is the only place I'd want to go. Do not let the esthetics of other places be the draw for you, as the care might be substandard to here. As I leave here I will leave with a smile on my face, great anticipation for what the future brings, but if you look close enough, you might also see a tear 😢 in the corner of my eyes. Hope this helps.
