Best health center for our Mom. Staff is professional, but important, they are kind. They work hard and they care. First impression started with Tonya in admissions, just lovely and patient. Then I met Frenchie, the Sunshine greeter and receptionist. Later, I met staff working with Mom, Yolanda and Lil bit and Denise. All keeping me informed while taking care of Mom. I cannot thank everyone enough. I can rest without worry. Thanks, love you all.

I was only a visitor. My first stop was at the reception desk and Shell greeted me with a smile, friendly conversation and explained everything I needed to do. It was very clean, nurses who assisted the patients were very nice and helpful. This was a great first visit.

My wife fractured her ankle Monday 8/24 and had surgery at Sentara Leigh Memorial, wonderful care and once stable was discharged to inpatient rehab at Maimonides Health Center. Arrived Thursday 8/27/2026 at 6:11 pm and once placed in her room by medical transport, the level of care plummeted. Nurse came and did vitals and then no one came to check on us.. I found and spoke to the unit manager (Amber) who explained prescriptions sent by the hospital would not be filled by pharmacy till the next day (still<br>Waiting) but they could provide one does of pain meds - which we asked for at 7:30 pm, visitors HAVE to leave at 8 pm but her nurse (Latoya) assured us the my wife (Deb) would be well cared for. This am, Friday 8/28/2028 I arrived to find my wife crying in bed .. she got 1/2 the pain medication at approx 10 pm and has been in pain all night. She also rang the nurse call bell 3:15am, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15 as she needed help to pee, no one answered so she had an accident in bed.. the nurse arrived sometime afterwards and helped her clean up but no more pain meds were available, apparently not even Tylenol. I arrived to find her in pain .. then the PT(Katie), OT(Janice), Speech(Kayleigh) therapists all came and were wonderful and helped her out on her walking boot and helped to the bathroom.. but suggested we wait for pain meds before starting PT. again sought out the unit manager (Amber) to file a written complaint and suddenly they managed to get her narcotic pain meds and Tylenol for my wife within minutes … maybe it takes something like this review to get their attention<br>Ronald H Jones MD (husband of Deb Jones - patient with surgically repaired right ankle - NOT getting nursing care at Maimonides Health Center . - - - will update review if and when anything changes … might just have to take her home and manage with outpatient PT …
