Came to this facility to visit my Godmother and I must say “I am disgusted with what I’ve witnessed.” Let me start off by saying “this facility is completely outdated!!” From the beds, the windows, the cafeteria, and what I can only assume as the septic system (as it smells like sewage throughout the whole building.) Residents that I’ve spoke to seem to also be complaining about the feeling of being bitten by something, just to be made aware as we were leaving, that this facility has a bed bug issue. I can’t explain how disgusted I am, but my family and I WILL be reaching out to someone to have this facility investigated. We will also be making arrangements to have my Godmother moved somewhere else, as this is unacceptable.

Posting on behalf of Teresa Wade.<br><br>Our mom lived at Indian River Assisted Living for almost 15 years. She has lived in a lot of different homes around this area for the past 50 years and Indian River is, by far, the best place she’s ever been. Most of the residents have been living there for quite some time, so it gives a very “homey” feel. It’s a tight-knit community, where everyone knows everyone and all the residents have very close bonds. A lot of times you’ll find people enjoying time out on the porch., especially when the weather is nice. You can feel that the staff truly cares about each and every resident. We have seen where they go above and beyond to ensure that all residents have what they need. And they do whatever it takes to make sure the residents are happy. The residents have a close bond to all the staff, which is something you don’t see in a lot of places.<br><br>Our mom just recently passed away, and our family is grateful for all the caring staff and caregivers who spent so much time with her. They were by her side, providing love, prayers and support throughout her final days. And you could tell that all the support they gave her was truly genuine. All the staff, caregivers and administrators gave our family nothing but love and kindness during this difficult time.<br><br>Our family has formed quite a bond with the residents and staff at Indian River and we will never forget them. We will remember everyone always.

Rude staff always when I call. Linda is the only nice caring person I’ve spoke to there.
