13 patients, 1CNA, 2 LPNs with their personal cell phones equals lack of patient care, inattentiveness, possible negligence, no patience, mistreatment, etc. (night shift ) The day shift staff has more employees but they are unprofessional because you can hear them gossiping, using profanity, using personal cell phone, unfriendly, etc (not all day shift staff) Every time I visit my love one, Ive noticed the staff are in their phone like social media zombies. Buzzing the nursing station is like a joke. The assigned nurses who I've encountered with my love one would always be clueless when asking questions about their patient. My love one would smell like urine due to insufficient hygiene care, possible infections due not being wiped properly front to back when cleaning. They left behind her feces on the surface. The staff are lazy, unclean, incompetent, cell phone zombies, unprofessional, inattentive, lack of patient knowledge, etc. *I can't speak for all the staff but mostly all who I've encounter who cared for my love one. I wouldn't recommend.

My aunt has just spent 5 weeks at this facility. The care she received was superb! The caregivers were very friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Many thanks to Natalie, Sean, Kathy, Timori, Jonathan, Meagan, Jeremy, David, Laura, Chaney, Kayla and all the others that I can’t remember your names! The great care you provided is so appreciated and is why she is now ready to go to rehab. Well done!

Stayed here for a month and a half after a bad motorcycle accident, staff is absolutely amazing! They made me feel like family. I went in depressed, scared, and helpless. But now I'm almost independent with a good outlook on things. And I owe it to the amazing staff here.

Knowledgeable staff, very compassionate and understanding. Made our stay as much like home as possible. If the nurses were unsure of anything, they made sure to get clarrification. LEC was fantastic as an Extended Care Facility!!

Unprofessional staff with no patience for family! If you don’t have patience for family how can you have patience with sick patients who can NOT verbally speak for themselves! My mother declined 2 days after her admissions at LEC, causing her to be put on a ventilator. Judging their nonchalant attitude with family explains why. My mother can not speak for herself and yet I’m chasing down nurses just to get an update on a nonverbal patient! Their attitude is like omg she’s still sedated on a ventilator nothing has changed why are you calling. Sorry but not sorry that’s my mother and I will call every day rather she’s made progress or not! I’m a firm believer in treating any and everybody the way I want to be treated including family. This nursing staff is too busy to come to the phone or return a call. They will pass you off to the next shift. If you ask to speak to the DON Belinda good luck because either she never gets the message or she’s just like the staff that she hires. I don’t recommend this place. I never had to write a bad review on a pair of shoes I purchase and was dissatisfied with. But I am forced to write about this place hoping and praying the right person reads it and that I finally get a response. I deserve transparency on my mother’s care whenever I want it . Im tired of the calls being placed on hold, return calls being deferred to the next shift or the lies that the nurse will give you a call back what’s your name and number. If I lived in Louisiana I would be there every day checking on my mother but unfortunately this is not the case. I wish I could transfer her closer to me. Thank God for her sisters that go check on her at least twice a week. They are in Louisiana but it is still an out of town drive for them as well. I am grateful that I was able to spend a week with her about 3 weeks ago this January 2022. The week I was there I did not witness the super busy staff they claim to be. I’m also grateful that my brother visited on yesterday 1/29/22. We try to come every opportunity we get. He and my other brother also live out of the state. It is hard when you are so far away. But unfortunately for us LEC could care less if we can’t be there and care nothing about giving us any updates. Again, if you treat coherent family with disregards,.I can not imagine this unprofessional group of staff (some not all) treating patients with the dignity and respect that they deserve. Joshua on night shift has been very helpful and considerate of our needs. Michelle on day shift is very unprofessional she can no longer care for my mother per my request. Again I hope this review open doors for me to actually get to speak to someone after spending weeks trying. And I hope I will be a help to someone else in making a very important decision on placing their beloved family member.
