DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE !!!!! Oh my god I have never seen a place this bad before I have worked in tons of medical facilities and this is the worst place ever !!! They neglected my grandma so bad to the point my aunt couldn’t even get peace of mind leaving her alone there. My aunt walked in one day with food trays from dinner and breakfast all over the place my grandma slung her food on the ground because no one came in to help her eat and she has a broken arm. She also was half naked and had mucus all dried up in her hair from being sick and her catheter bag was filled to the top. Also my grandmas room mate was coughing constantly and got my grandma sick and that lady was coughing when she first arrived and they put her with my grandma. We also found out they were not checking my grandmas blood sugar and she’s diabetic I was wondering why she was acting so strange so I pushed for them to do it and told them they have to do that everyday. Found out my grandmas blood sugar was at 300 so dangerous she could have went into a coma. They ignore you if you want help with something my aunt told me they always wait a hour or two to even get help with anything. The food is shit the equipment is old the bed is ancient and the call light is like it’s from the 60’s the place is filthy the other comments I have read where not wrong about the smell of urine when you walk in basically when you walk in it’s like you have walked into hell. You hear screaming 24/7 so there is no peace for your loved one they mix patients with severe mental disorders in this place so it’s like a psych ward. Some of the staff members try there best while others are rude and nasty. And getting your loved one out of here will be very very difficult the guy that helps run the place messed up paper work multiple times and delayed my grandma leaving for a few days you will also have to fight tooth and nail to get then transferred. I am very very beyond happy she is out of this hellhole this place needs to be shut down honestly I have seen dogs get fed better and treated better then the people do in this place. I really believe if it wasn’t for my aunt fighting this place my grandmother would have died they try to kill people here ! Stay farrrrrr away !!

Do not send your loved one to the Longwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. My brother was transported from the hospital to Longwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Longwood Florida. He received inadequate care at this “skilled nursing facility.” During his time at Longwood, my brother found the staff to be indifferent, unfriendly and incompetent and described the Nursing Assistant as combative and insensitive. Despite specific instructions to shift his position every (two) 2 hours, he lay in the same position for (six) 6 hours. He sat in a diaper in his own bodily waste for hours resulting in his skin breaking down – becoming painfully sensitive to touch. His body wash was stolen and never replaced and he was bathed infrequently despite being a double amputee. My brother was told that his hemoglobin was low, but no one ever followed up. A social worker came on the third day and kept going in and out of the room to speak with a nurse who promised to check on his blood work – she never did. In the end, my brother saved his own life by dialing 911 from his cell phone. When the Paramedics arrived, they administered CPR and transported him to a hospital’s Emergency Room where he was under Observation for several days.

I was ill and bedbound when I first came to Longwood in August 2024. With great staff, determination, and hardwork, I was discharged April 30th to an assisted living facility. I am grateful to Longwood and it's impact of getting me well and functioning at a good level. I learned that attitude determines your altitude . People have their opinions, but you have to have the attitude that you are going to be well and work for it.

I’ve visited Longwood Health and Rehab several times and have always had a positive impression. The staff is welcoming, and the facility is clean and organized. Residents seem well cared for and engaged. It’s clear the team is putting effort into making this a better place.

My father was there for 6 weeks and they were great. The nursing home was clean and the food was really good. If he ever needs rehab again I would definitely bring him back. Thank you all for the care you all gave my father.
