Ive been here 18 months and I've seen a lot and have heard all the horror stories from the other residents quality of life is equivalent to prison except in prison you get treated with more respect and feel safer I'd rather be homeless sleeping in my car then be here<br><br>They like to call this the highest level of care while we wait for hours to have the light answered and when they do finally show up they have an attitude I wouldn't put someone i hated in this place let alone someone I care about

I stsyed at Legscy of Westerville dforseversl months after a debilitating stroke in 2023 this is an ammended review. My first review wasnt so poditive but i thought sboutvit and hsd to amnend ny orevious recie.ofctge 4 nursing homes i have lived in since my stroke, legscy hssbeen by fsr my fsvorite one to be a resident of the only down dide tobzlegscyvis tge food was lessxrhsn stellsar. The nursing stsff wconsisted of well trsined ATNA’s and nurses, a bit under stsffed but did quite well. Like every place tgere were a fee bsd apples Victoria was a cold nom compsssionste STNA . Therecwere sime winderful sides i miss now mohammed, Angel M. , Rose, emsnuella , anithea yYa,,sylvia and Riley were all incredible. I i have not found a better group of nursing stsff.feel thry took excellent csre ofcmy needs. Lilian tge activities director was a highlight to mybstsy. She hsdcwonderful sctivities tobhrlp occupyvourvtimecwell orgsnized and fun . Regulsr movie days was def instelyvavhighlightvofcmybstsy atcLegscy Brittanryvtgecdicidl eorjercwascvery kindcsndchelpful. Wyattcthevhouse jeepervwas a politrlecthtough young man heresoectedcmyvriom sndcmybthings,,always made sure my tsvlecwas clean and wiped down. Osiivthecaide was a real pleasure to be around.. i cannot say enough aboutvtge tgerspy stsff ivcould i goild not doesk well and myvmrmoryvwas bsdly dsmsged when ibfurstcgot there. They’ve got roaches, the staff never answers the phone or gives you a call back no matter what extension you click, they withheld my father’s medication which caused several blood clots while he was a resident, the food is disgusting, when he was admitted to the hospital they never called me to let me know, the staff is unpleasant, and it is ultimately a very unclean building. If you care about your family member do NOT send them here.

My father recently spent ten days with Legacy Westerville. After the hospital gave me the name of the facility, I immediately went to google to research them and was aghast and sick to my stomach after reading all of the one star ratings and horrible reviews. I panicked and tried to call the hospital to catch the ambulance before it left with my father but was unable to get through on time. So I prayed for the best at that point.<br><br>I have to tell you, I was pleasantly surprised with this place once my father was settled in and I started calling to check on him. The nurses are kind and informative; each time I called they either came right to the phone or called me back within a few hours. My father has many health issues and many medications, but he was given all his meds in a timely fashion. And once my father started having some medical complications where he needed to be sent back to the hospital, no time was wasted in getting him there. Unfortunately, he has been unable to return since he is just too ill, but we stopped by there today to pick up his things and the nurses were so concerned for his welfare and sincerely wished him the best.<br><br>The only negative thing I can say about Legacy Westerville is that they are definitely understaffed and because of that they are not the cleanest facility I've ever seen. Their furniture is old and outdated and the rooms are on the grimy side. But I can handle a little grime if the staff on hand are competent and kind.
