Have to update due to Legacy taking my review down. I want to know why my review keeps disappearing.
Feb 24th 7:45pm
I was sitting at home and decided to check the cameras at my moms nursing home room. When I looked at the cameras, I noticed my mom had been locked out of her room from 7:02pm to 7:50 which was when I called to tell them. Another resident had taken over my moms room and wouldn't let her in. My mom kept going to her door and knocking but the resident in there kept telling her it wasn't her room. I could hear my mom state that is was her room because of rhe camera. They put a family picture outside the room so they know it is their room. Not one aid or nurse knew this was happening. I called at 7:50pm and talked to the nurse. I stated my name and who my mom was. The nurse then stated before I could tell her what was going on, that my mom was a handful today. I then said I wonder why. She has been locked out of her room for almost an hour with another resident in her room and you had no clue. She then said she would go in. 5 minutes later an aid finally showed up and got the other resident out of my moms room and pushed my mom back in. At this time my moms anxiety must have been pretty high because she couldn't get in your own room for an hour. Apparently, at 8pm, the nurse decided to use the emergency kit pill, (which we were not informed of what was in this kit from hospice and we had voice recorded conversation about what not to give our mom) well that one pill 11 hours later, that pill shut her body down. That one pill put her body into something like a coma stage. For a lady who was talking and moving around all day on Feb 24th to a lady who did not move again after the nurse gave her HALDOL. This drug is for schizophrenia, people using major drugs that are tripping out or people who are on their death bed. MY MOM WAS NONE OF THOSE. Well, that pill did kill my mom. This pill has been banded in many hospitals. We finally got all of my moms records after she passed (took over 30 days) and did find out that they really do like to drug their residents. We found out the hard way but they push you to use hospice so they can give them stronger drugs that make them stay in bed or literally just die. We did find that they gave her that pill 5 times. Her body could not handle it.

We were there one night that a lady in a wheelchair was trying to get out of it and the aid just sat in a chair on her phone. As we walked my mom back to her that same lady trying to get out of her chair was now laying on the ground and it looked liked her head was bleeding. Cops and ambulance were called. The aids really don't watch people here. They don't care about the people.

We did report to the state, but Legacy of St Michael did not put the CORRECT information in my moms records so we have no proof. Lied to keep themselves clean. So they couldn't get in trouble. Do not put your loved ones here. IF YOU WANT YOUR LOVED ONES TO STAY ALIVE, DO NOT PUT THEM AT LEGACY IN ST MICHAEL. LEGACY IS AN AWFUL PLACE. WE WATCH SEVERAL INCIDENCES WHERE STAFF SAT IN THEIR PHONE AND DIDNT HELP THE PEOPLE. ALSO ALWAYS LEFT THE MEDICINE CABINETS OPEN FOR THE PEOPLE TO HELP THEMSELVES.
