Engel Haus

Engel Haus is an independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Albertville, Minnesota. The community offers a warm, intimate setting rooted in Albertville's German heritage, with thoughtfully designed interiors and daily servings of traditional Kuchen. Residents can choose from studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment layouts, many featuring full kitchens, spacious living rooms, and full bathrooms.

Care services include independent living with staff-led activities, three daily meals, and emergency pendants; assisted living and memory care provided by certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses. Residents can remain in their apartments if care needs change, with services brought to them rather than requiring relocation. A nurse or doctor is always available on-site, and the community features safety measures including secured entrances, accessible bathrooms with grab bars and pull cords, and emergency call buttons.

Engel Haus provides gourmet meals three times daily in a restaurant-style dining experience, with refreshments available in a pub/coffee lounge. A robust calendar of activities includes worship services, exercise classes, community outings, games, arts and crafts, movie nights, and performances. Residents have access to an on-site fitness room, weekly group fitness classes called WOW Fitness, and Wellness on Wheels programming. Outdoor amenities include a putting green, gazebo, and walking paths.

The community is well-integrated with greater Albertville and welcomes family and friends without specific visiting hour restrictions. Families can reserve gathering spaces at no cost and are welcome to join residents for meals. A welcome committee assists new residents with orientation and social integration. An expansion opening in Spring 2027 will add 86 independent living apartments with resort-style amenities including a rooftop patio, pickleball courts, and fine dining.

Engel Haus was recently awarded five stars out of five by the Minnesota Department of Health on their Assisted Living Report Card across all categories: Resident Quality of Life, Family Satisfaction, Resident Health, Safety, and Staffing. The community offers Alzheimer's and dementia support groups providing emotional, social, and educational resources for families and caregivers.

One cat or dog under 30 pounds is allowed per resident; the resident is responsible for pet care and a pet fee applies. The community is wheelchair-accessible with walk-in/roll-in showers and is designed for mobility-impaired residents.
