Very dirty place not kept up doesn’t look out for patients , residence just walk into other people‘s room and stare at them , guy rides bicycle sells things to the residence for triple the price , whatever you do please do not let your love ones go into that place, also when got there from having a stroke and his left side doesn’t work they put him in a bed with no rails he fell out the bed twice screamed and banged on dresser for 15 min because his call button didn’t work ,finally the man in the other bed got In His wheelchair and went get help for him … they did come and help him up and Lowered his bed to the floor level but gave him a cow bell to ring like he would have lived on a farm !! This place could do better

If you love your family member, please think carefully before sending them here. My father was sent to this facility for rehabilitation after an extensive hospital stay. While there, he was prescribed Zyprexa every single morning and night. He was heavily sedated and could barely stay awake. Staff then blamed him for “not participating” in physical therapy — when in reality, he physically could not stay awake enough to engage. Physical therapy was eventually stopped, and hospice was recommended. My father is NOT dying. Hospice is for patients with a prognosis of six months or less to live. That does not apply to him. We requested that physical therapy reevaluate him because the nursing staff was not getting him out of bed. We were told we could not have a wheelchair to help get him up ourselves. He was left in bed all day, every day — in a diaper — instead of being taken to the bathroom. Physical therapy told me they would reevaluate him on Monday. This facility is two hours from my home, so I called to confirm it was done. I never received a call back. I called again Tuesday and was placed on hold for 45 minutes before being told they would “get to it at some point this week.” That was unacceptable. We finally brought his wheelchair from home because the facility would not provide one. We easily got him out of bed and took him outside for fresh air and sunshine. If family members can safely transfer him, trained professionals should absolutely be able to do so. We spent two hours outside with him, and he loved it. Not a single staff member said anything to us. Communication from this facility was extremely poor. Calls were placed on hold for 30+ minutes. Messages were left and never returned. The final incident was what made us remove him immediately. We arrived at 8:00 PM and could hear him yelling for water. His call button was on the floor under his bed — as it had been multiple times before. Staff were sitting at the front of the hall while he was calling out. When we checked him, he was completely soaked in urine — not just a small leak. His clothing and multiple thick blankets were saturated from his shoulders to his knees. He told us he had not been changed at all that day. That was the last straw. We could not leave him there another night. We have removed him from the facility and will be reporting this to the appropriate authorities. Families deserve better. Our loved ones deserve dignity, attention, and proper care. Please do your research before sending someone you love here.
