The five stars in this review are for the outstanding Activities Director who Las Brisas had, but lost about a month ago. During her tenure there, Ms. Prachi outwardly transformed the activities room into a bright, cheerful place, exhibiting such things as residents’ art and puzzle works. She organized several opportunities for the celebration of different holidays to include residents’ family members.
Prachi even worked out the weekly donation of many fresh flowers from local businesses, which were then rearranged in vases and placed in various spots around the facility for everyone to enjoy. I personally appreciated the fresh bouquet at the entrance every Thursday when I came to visit.
During a period of warm weather earlier this year, Prachi arranged for a colorful vending truck to park at the entrance and offer everyone a variety of flavors of cooling snow cones! She was so innovative and creative.
In all my personal interaction with Prachi, I found her to be a person of high integrity with a heart that really cared for the residents. Too sad that she is no longer at Las Brisas.

They do not take proper care of the elderly residents; they simply do not care. Several residents have fallen, and the staff failed to notify their families. They were even selling drugs to the residents. The administrator knew about it and did nothing; many others knew as well but never spoke up out of self-interest. Corporate management supposedly steps in to take action, but everything remains exactly the same. Get your family members out of here—this is not a good place. They pay no attention to the residents and fail to feed them, despite knowing full well that they require assistance.

If I could give these people 0 starts I would. They are truly unprofessional and neglectful to the EXTREME. DO NOT bring your elderly here. They hang up on me if they even answer at all after 20-30 minutes of ringing. Automatic hold is their favorite. They all have each other's backs there and won't tell you the name of who's working the desk or tending to your loved one. My father was admitted into the hospital because his heart stopped there's times because they overdosed him with the "VISTA" box contents of morphine (which they use to keep them WAY out of it-to the point that they can't swallow food much less eat solids) and AB Gel which they use way over recommendation. They are NOT medical professionals and give it to them like candy. They are mean, disrespectful, and kniving. My Dad lost 15 pounds in three weeks and fell 3 times on them. None knew anything. When we brought him in he was walking and eating solid food. Not any more. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

This place is terrible I strongly recommend not having a loved one admitted to this facility. My 94 year old uncle was admitted to this facility and he was left alone for hours while we were there and not checked on by any of the nurses. Who knows if this happened daily or not. The kitchen staff is very incompetent. They failed to bring him his dinner one night while his sister was there. If it hadn’t been for her being there he would not have received his food that night. Who knows how many times that happened and we just didn’t know. His son was just informed today that he was being discharged to go home. Not one person at that facility let his son or anyone in the family know that he was to be discharged ahead of time. We had to find out through my uncle. The social worker did not return one single call that his son made regarding updates for my uncle’s care the entire time he was there. This is infuriating and pure neglect of a patient.
