You should ignore any older reviews. The facility has seriously deteriorated. Sagora claims to be a resident first organization. That could not be further from the truth. They are a profit first organization. They care nothing about the residents as long as they get their rent. Your rent will increase 8% every year. The food quality is equivalent to prision food. It is terrible. All of the food is low quality and as inexpensive as possible. The menus are not nutritious. Breakfast is cold. What little beef is served is inedible tough garbage. The same chicken with a different sauce slopped over is common. It is a shame because Chef Robert has the ability to put super high quality food on the plate. Sagora has cut his budget and what he can order. They have effectively ruined his ability to prepare good food. But, they are saving money. The building maintenance is absolutely terrible. This place is dirty! Rent was just increased by 8%. The food budget was decreased. The maintenance budget was decreased. The staff hours have been cut. Many people have moved out because of service and food. Several more are in the process of moving out. Most of the staff are extremely nice to the residents. Most really care. Sagora corporate doesn’t care. Sagora corporate is focused 100% on profit not residents. Their motto should be money over residents.

Several years ago, Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Independent Living was a nice facility. That is no longer the case. The management company, Sagora Senior Living, is interested in nothing more than profit. The residents of the facility are not the concern of the management company. Their entire focus is on profit. There has been a significant and noticeable change with the management attitude at Landon Ridge. It is all about profit. Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch needs to be cleaned. The building is filthy. The walls are damaged and banged up and need to be painted. Their exterior parts of building that are falling apart. The roof leaks all the time. The bistro stinks of rotten trash. The carpet is disgusting in the hallways. Many of the external entrances are just absolutely disgustingly filthy and sticky. One area of the hallways has not had air-conditioning in almost a year. There are many safety exit lights that do not function. There are continual floods in the building. The maintenance department continually closes maintenance requests without making the repairs; some repairs take months. Maintenance is an absolute joke. When you go to view this facility, you will be told that you get housekeeping as part of your lease. You will get 30 minutes maximum every two weeks of housekeeping. That is when they actually show up. More often than not, the housekeepers do not show up. They do not have the basic skills, motivation, or materials to clean an apartment. The housekeepers have absolutely no accountability. Nobody follows up on their work. If you’re looking for a housekeeper, it will be very easy because they’ll be walking around the hallways on their cell phones doing nothing. The housekeepers are worthless and basically do not do anything when they actually show up to “clean“ your apartment. Now we can start on the “chef-prepared” meals. Your rent is high yet they do not budget enough money to provide quality food. They are serving slop at this facility. Do not think for one second you’re going to receive scratch-made chef-prepared meals. The meals are more like the quality of low-end school lunches. Fish and chips that were cooked so hard it was inedible. The fries were cold. Reuben sandwich that had less than 1 ounce of meat. The meat was what we referred to as particle meat, not even real corned beef. It was a sloppy, disgusting meal. The onion rings were just frozen reconstituted onions extruded into a ring. Apparently, somebody thought that chicken Parmesan should be served over mashed potatoes. Beef stew with two little pieces of beef in it. There was not 1 ounce of meat in my beef stew. A steak was so tough it could not be cut. They love to serve inexpensive, cheap chicken. They frequently serve entrees with no vegetables. They do not ever serve any type of bread. 14 of the 21 entrée options in the last week have been chicken. The desserts are ice cream or some sort of frozen pie. I have actually had a piece of frozen pie slapped down on my table. They serve the lowest quality meals possible. The food has gotten extremely bad. Breakfast is cold and almost inedible. I think this was the plan to keep people from coming to breakfast so they don’t have to provide food. Most people are no longer eating breakfast in the dining room because the quality is so terrible. That is certainly a nice profit increase for Sagora. They have managed to open a new bar in the building. This is absolutely a for-profit operation for Landon Ridge. Not only is it a for-profit operation. They have taken employees from the dining room to run their new bar. Do not trust anything they tell you when you tour the facility. They will tell you absolute untruths about what is happening. It has gotten so bad that they have posted fake names on the doors of empty apartments to make the building appear fully occupied. Plan on your rent increasing 8 to 10% every single year. I would recommend that you find any facility that has not managed by Sagura.

Hands down, the most phenomenal Property owners, maintenance crew and general staff by far! I see different properties at senior living buildings everyday. I can assure you that whatever property management and the owners are doing, they are doing a beyond phenomenal job! Not only is the environment very welcoming, but even the front end staff are so cordial, friendly (not robotic) and seem to be very easy to speak to. Its clear that their Maintenance directors, like Erik at the Memory Care and Assisted Living building -OR- Roger, and his team: Saun, Pete, Michael and Gabe, go above and beyond their daily tasks and have a very close relationship with the tenants. The way the staff coordinate and communicate with one another make you want to smile. Whatever issue or task may arise, the maintenance guys are on it like "white on rice". I had the pleasure of seeing atleast 95% of the residents personally, and they all seemed to be so happy, especially the way they greeted the maintenance team and a few of the guys i had the pleasure to be around. When the maintenance team arent doing work orders, they are always looking for the next way to improve the tenants experience, as well as assuring everything is working properly for each and every individual and their concerns. That is paramount, and these guys have it covered, no question. There isnt anything these guys and the staff wont do to make sure the tenants are always happy and feel appreciated. I see alot of properties that are solely Senior living properties 5 days a week. Whomever the property owners and corporate owners are, they know what their doing. The guys they have working here are a force to be reckoned with. Whether its their customer service, hard work and always striving to improve the tenants experience. Its more of a passion to them, than a workday, if that makes sense. That really says something.

I have been living here for several years and now my elderly mother is living here as well. First and foremost, I want to say that the staff is courteous, helpful, and concerned about the residents. We have been very fortunate to have as a new director, Miss Kristian, she has made great efforts to improve the overall quality of living in our community. She has shown a genuine willingness & commitment to bring about many positive changes. This community has now become my family. Thank you to all of the staff for making this place a safer place to live.
