Because of negligence from the staff, my Mom was unattended outside. She fell and hit her head which caused a brain bleed. She passed away 6 days later. There was a false fire alarm set off and all patients were taken out of the center. Mom had to use a walker to keep her balance. Somehow, her walker got lost and no staff member did anything to replace the walker. My Mom suffered from the last stage of dementia. She needed a walker to keep her balance or assistance from the a staff. She was outside with neither. Because of this unsupervised accident, my Mom passed away. Several years ago, my Aunt fell at this same facility and she passed away, too! The monthly cost is cheap but you get cheap service. Why didn’t I do anything? I live in another State, not Tennessee and I wasn’t the POA. Trust me. If I had the authority, my Mom would have never been placed at that facility.
