If I can sway one person from ever send their loved one to this facility, I will have done a real service to another family. My twin brother was sent there on a Saturday from LaFollette hospital for therapy after he broke his hip. He had been there a little more than an hour when they let him fall out of bed. They didn’t do an X-ray on him until the next day only to find that same hip was crushed. He was sent to Tennova where they determined his hip couldn’t be fixed and they couldn’t operate again due to his bad heart. He went into hospice and died a week later. He had a chance to live and get better before Norris Rehab took his chance away. The atmosphere at that place is chaotic, loud, and disorganized. Every time I was there no staff was in the hallway and I had to go look for help when I needed it. Please don’t send your loved ones here

I cannot recommend Norris Post-Acute rehab enough. My Dad has had the most attentive and caring staff. He was there for just over a month after a leg amputation. The occupational and Physical Therapy staff were amazing. The facility is always clean and well maintained. I dreaded my Dad going into a rehab facility but Norris Rehab is exceptional. Rhonda and Jason are great RNs. The administration also has great staff with Jennifer, Sunny and Alyssa.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Alyssa Johnson while my aunt was a patient. She carries the entire personality of your facility in her attitude and smile. Good job hiring someone like Alyssa with her compassion and love for the people there.

Hands down the worst experience we have had with our loved one at a facility. Rooms are kind of clean but outdated. Patients roam hallways without supervision and what they say is NOT a one on one care facility. Some staff care and then there are staff that continually linger at nurse station and ignore those patients who need assistance to the point that a patient may not see a staff nurse for half a day. Food is lack luster full of sodium an not very heart conscious for most patients. If you want your LO taken care of choose another facility. Do your research diligently.

I have an Aunt living there now and I feel like the nurses/aides need to be more attentive. From what ive noticed they are always doing paperwork or on the computer. I think they need to be more hands on. Maybe less patients per nurse and aides. I do have a special shout out to one of the aides that only works on Fridays. Her name is Kayla Stevens and every time my Aunt has asked or needed help, she has never told me or her "let me find someone " she has stopped what she was doing and came to help my aunt with what she has needed.
