Terrible communications with family, lack of empathy with patients, will not listen to or respond to voice mails, not even sure of their own policies.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding a CNA named Andrea who works on the 400 Hall. During my mother’s stay, I observed behavior that I found unprofessional, discourteous, and lacking in compassion. Andrea’s demeanor toward residents and family members came across as rude and dismissive, which created an uncomfortable environment. Most concerning was an incident in which my mother was not offered a glass of water despite clearly needing assistance. Basic care, comfort, and attentiveness are essential responsibilities in a nursing home setting, and I was disappointed by the apparent lack of concern shown. Residents deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, kindness, and compassion at all times. The interaction I witnessed did not reflect the level of care and professionalism that families expect when entrusting their loved ones to a nursing facility. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and addressed to help ensure that all residents receive the attentive and respectful care they deserve.

they mistreated my grandma and would constantly loose her stuff and would come in 40 minutes after her calling for them and sometimes we would have to go to the nurses desk and tell them that my grandma has been calling for them and no had shown up while they were eating lunch and telling jokes and not going to the patients that need their help and that the families had to directly tell them that their loved one’s needs help and sometimes they would leave my grandma in her own waist and not clean her up and she had constant utis i don’t recommend this place at all put your loved one’s in a different nursing home that will actually take care of them.

I would give Kingston Care negative stars if it were an option, so don't let my one star fool you. My mom has been there a week and I have been there 12 hours a day caring for her because we all know there are never enough CNAs to care for all the patients. This morning my 90-year-old mom was let alone on the toilet at 7:30 a.m. half cleaned up, poop on everything and the CNA never returned. She got herself back to bed and had to walk through poop all over the floor. I arrived at 9 with her breakfast to find her a mess. No one answered the call light. I walked the halls asking for help. Finally I went to therapy and had to reschedule her OT and clean her up, get her dressed, and clean up the room myself. I requested an administrator meet with me to discuss my experience and I expected them to speak with me and help me. Instead they wouldn't let me speak and only wanted my mom to speak and she didn't know who they were or why they were there. She's hearing impaired and didn't know what they were saying. One didn't like that I was angry and wanted to speak, and was so patronizing and condescending. I was even more upset after the interaction with the staff I asked to help me. I was told my tone was unprofessionally and if I kept it I would be asked to leave and escorted out if I returned. My tone is much stronger now and I hope my mom is alive when I go back to get her out of that place. Please do not put anyone you love in this place. My dad was at Ashton Creek for three weeks and I gave them five stars.
