This place should be shut down. They have staff there who verbally, mentally, emotionally and spiritually abuse people. The residents rooms are filthy and in poor condition, and I have the pictures 🖼️ to prove it. The air conditioner is inoperative. Some rooms have four people to a room, and the windows are difficult to open, probably that way to ensure safety for the residents, but they will not provide fans to keep them cool. It was extremely hot in the room while visiting my loved one. There's no holes in the walls, missing tile, dirt behind the door once it's closed. Some days my loved one has NOT received meals, sometimes as much as two meals a day. The Department of Health should conduct an investigation. Please do not send your loved ones to this horrible place. They do the bare minimum. Personally they need to upgrade their standards in every way possible from the way they treat the residents, to how they operate this facility and get to rid of the employees who abuse and neglect these people. This includes the financial department, social services, housekeeping, the medical staff and any other administrative individuals who do not treat these people who depend on them to care for them with honor, decency and respect. If you're considering this place, they're ONLY gonna give you a tour, showing you, the rooms in "better" condition on the 1st floor. The second floor is in worse condition than the 1st floor. I've never been to the 3rd floor, so I can't speak on that. But all it takes is one for me. Ijs. I have no reason to lie on this place. But I have to inform people of the truth. Also, the elevator 🛗 has gone for extended periods of time I operable. Yes, "out of order"! Ask yourself how would your loved one who may be non-ambulatory make it out if there was an emergency such as a 🔥🚒 fire? Eventually this place will have it's license 🪪 revoked due to all of these violations. I'm looking forward to that day. This place continues to not provide "mandatory" meals to the residents. My relative mentioned to me today on December 25th dinner was not provided. The bed board is broken. This kind of treatment is unprofessional, unethical and immoral. Unless people stand up, be proactive by saying something this mistreatment will continue. The physical therapy department "refuses" to train my loved one on how to use a walker that I purchased for them. These residence are being underserved and not properly cared for. People whom are non-ambulatory aren't given baths as they should. This place hasn't provided linen in A WEEK❗ According to their policy per the Social Service Manager, the linen is to be changed bi-weekly. However, that's not factual. The pictures have been added. In addition, to this unsanitary practice, to make matters worse, they have a Community Co-Ed bathroom where they have allowed the toilet 🚽 seat to lay aside the commode directly next to it on the floor. This is deemed unsafe, unethical, inhumane & impractical. The owner, so called management, and staff as a whole should be ashamed of themselves. Just because you ignore the elephant 🐘 in the room doesn't mean the problems will disappear. But yet again, you turn your heads. Never once have any of you responsible for the care of people gave a second thought about if your own loved ones were treated as terrible 😔 as you as a collective treat the people who are housed at your place. It's unacceptable and down right disgraceful! Take a look 👀 at the pictures. Posting 6.

Please everyone, do not allow this place to provide any care for your loved ones! I currently have a relative residing there and they have some staff whom are abusive verbally, physically, mentally and emotionally. This place was recommended to me by a hospital my loved one was receiving care from and I thought it would be a safe environment, however I was wrong. My loved one informed me of how Kensington isn't providing sufficient nutrients during meals. It has also been expressed to me there are degrading and disrespectful comments being said to my loved one. The Social Services Director is very rude. I can attest to this myself because he has said derogatory remarks to me. I brought clothing there for my loved which miraculously came up missing. And most importantly someone stole money and various other items from my loved one belongings.
It's overwhelmingly sad that you can't trust a facility such as this one to properly take care of your loved ones as you would do yourself. So if you can, at all costs avoid what I've been subjected to, please search for better options.

Unfortunately these previous reviews regarding this facilities severe issues are still relevant today, in 2024.

Overall, their is no genuine care or concern for the residents. They are predatory and are more concerned about the money they generate oppose to the care for people 's complete well being. The owner should hire more compassionate people instead of people who are just receving a paycheck. Because if the shoes were on the other feet, I'm confident they wouldn't want people mistreating their families and loved ones. If there was an option for zero or negative numbers, I would chose one of them. It cost nothing to be kind. It takes more energy to be mean. Take a step back Kensington and evaluate yourself in the mirror. Karma is real. What goes around, comes around. How long do the residents have to wait before Kensington addresses the broken shower on the second floor? It's been a week already??? February 7th.

On my behalf for my Mother, the facility has provided the attention and Physical therapy that surpasses other resort type facilities. From the nurses station to the physical therapy department, they always provided our family with updates and frank discussion to make important decisions. The physical therapy department are Performing miracles in my opinion to give a love one the ability to return to a normal sense of life and mobility. The facility may be small, but they provide a big impact of care and compassion. Hats off to Cerisa Zeno for going the extra mile helping our family
