My aunt Betty was in this place for 4 years. The last two have been nothing but problems. The last two weeks she has been vomiting and not able to hold anything down. I get a call on 1/29 that she needs to be put on hospice. Today my aunt is screaming and crying in pain calling me wanting to go to the hospital. Said her chest was hurting and felt like a heart attack. They refused. On my way up there, I talk to Robin the assistant director and I tell her and the PA and the DON that she needs to go but instead of supporting this to give my aunt the best care, I get met with Robin telling me "shes going to die regardless of what you do and her chest hurting is just anxiety." NO family should ever be told this even if that was the case. Robin would rather shove hospice down the patients throats instead of getting them the proper care to get better. This entire phone conversation was on speaker with multiple witnesses to back up what she said. We had to fight them to get an ambulance called. My aunt gets to the hospital where she was severely dehydrated, had a severe UTI, she was septic - they said she had a bad blood infection, her liver enzymes were high and her blood pressure was severely low and was consistently staying that way. She is now in ICU where we were told her gallbladder needs removed and her bile duct was so blocked that the galsstones had to have been there for a long time. Word for word what the doctor told us.. mind you she has been in katherines care the last 4 years. They said this was causing the vomiting and her pain. The good thing is we have all this on file now for proof of neglegence. My uncle George passed away in this place. He started out with a bad infection in his foot that was not properly taken care of to the point he had to have his leg amputated and his health declined ever since.. and of course their first thing was to put him on hospice but of course Robin will try to cover her own. My aunt will not be going back to this God awful place and they will be getting reported. My heart hurts for other patients that are in there that don't have family to fight for them. The abuse is horrible and I will not tolerate this anymore. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I pray I saved my aunt from death due to their neglected care. Of course they'll comment saying to report and leave their number but the staff that needs reported was all in on this phone conversation today where Robin told us that my aunt will die regardless of what we do. Update: 2/01 - My aunt is in the ICU but has improved tremendously. They were able to remove the gallstones in her bile duct and will be removing her gallbladder. She is already eating solid foods again without vomiting. She looks and sounds so much better. 3 full days out of that hell hole and she has made more improvement then she has in the last 4 years.... but according to Robin she was dying regardless and all her pain was just anxiety. If we would have listened to her and not called the ambulance to let her go to the hospital and stood on her medical advice on "it's just anxiety" my aunt would have laid there and died. I wish the worst luck on that woman and I pray this facility gets shut down. UPDATE 4/13: My aunt has been home with us since she was released from the hospital. She is sitting up on the side of the bed again, she has her full appetite back. She is doing SO GOOOOD. I wish this place could see how this "hospice patient" that Robin said was dying, looking so alive and well. ♥️ GUYS PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FMAILY MEMBERS HERE ESPECIALLY IF ROBIN IS STILL WORKING THERE. SHE WILL KILL YOUR LOVED ONES AND NOT CARE ABOUT SAVING THEM.

I would highly recommend Katherine's place to anyone needing rehab. My mom recently stayed at Katherine's place for rehab. Every time I called her, a staff was either in her room helping her or came into her room to help her.The staff were very responsive when she used her call button, and they interacted with her in kind and professional ways. The Care at Katherine's place is excellent! I'm very grateful for them.

Horrible. Never let your family or loved ones stay here. Not letting someone call the ambulance when in need of one is evil. A family member died under their care, one in bad health and two of their roommates thus far. Five years of atrocities and no one wants to answer for it. I pray to God that they receive a miracle for their remaining patients.
