On the last day of my wife’s life she was treated very poorly by the nurses. She complained that she had severe abdominal pain and they did nothing. Both on duty nurses were snotty and uncaring. I sat with my wife trying to comfort her both hands clenched and her lips were trembling, she remarked she wanted to scream because the pain was so intense. After she passed the family was allowed in her room for viewing and she still had the tubes hanging out of her mouth and wasn’t cleaned up until we went and requested they see to it.

Kahl Home provides a family like atmosphere for the residents. The facility is very new, clean, and bright. The care givers are outstanding here. Top notch care. I wish i could say the same about the management. Good luck getting a response from them.

Cannot say enough good things about how Kahl is managed. Nursing, aides and staffing are awesome, respectful, friendly and kind. Response time to needs is excellent. Food is ok with options always available. Clean private rooms and common areas. OT and PT 1 hr per day.

My wife spent a couple months at Kahl, after a couple months battling pneumonia and severe complications including multiple major surgeries that left her with complete “critical illness myopathy”. She couldn’t stand on her own, and had to be lifted mechanically from bed to wheelchair. The Kahl therapists were unbelievably skilled and nurturing…they got her up and walking right away, although my wife didn’t think she was capable of doing so. The nursing care was very good, noting the nursing coverage on a per patient basis was understandably less than the ICU from which my wife came. All of the patient care staff was wonderful. The case workers were very helpful. The nuns were just fabulous. The facility is very clean, they have many wonderful amenities. God bless the Kahl staff…they have been sensational in my wife’s recovery.

Our grandma stays here. So far since her stay. She had cold food every time. No hearing aides in so she could hear. Today we went go see her. She was in her pj's slip and she was cold. I was so heated.<br>Our grandma has MS. So her being cold isn't good for her. She was telling us she fell and we ask the CNA about it . She didn't know. I am a CNA myself . I been a CNA over 20 years now. I thought this would be a good place. Cause I worked here when they first open up. But I was wrong . I wish i could just take her out of there. But she is there for getting stronger.. But big Disappointment 😞 😞
