I only put 1 star because it won't let you do anything lower. The absolute WORST nursing home we have had the experience of dealing with. I would never recommend anyone go to this facility. They only want patients that just lay in the bed so they don't have to deal with them. My father in law was there for rehab and possibly long term care. He has Alzheimer's and Dementia and was there because of a fall. After being there a couple of weeks he fell and was determined he needed a long term facility that could give him more care than he was receiving at an assisted living facility. During his time there, he did not want to lay down or sit in a chair the whole time (which I don't blame him). They would not let him do anything but sit or lay down. It became a bother to them. So what do they do? Say he has behavior issues so that they can get rid of him because just simply saying, "he is a fall risk and we do not have the manpower to stay with him". I would have accepted that but instead they ruin any chance he has of going to a other nursing home because of "behavior" issues and called him a threat to their staff. They have no video footage of him with his "behavior issues" because more than likely it never happened. Everywhere else he has been (several hospitals) had no issues with him. The main Physician and Psychiatrist were involved because of his "behavior issues". I was told that they had to adjust his meds and LESS THAN 24 hours later they called and said they couldn't deal with him. They did not give the meds any time to work before calling me, and the head nurse rudely said that I could come stay with him during the day. I work and have small children, that is not feasible. They sent him to the ER in JC as a STROKE PATIENT just so they could get rid of him and then told me they don't want him to come back until the hospital adjusts his meds. The ER of course said that was the job of the facility. Do not waste your time sending your loved ones there. They just care about the money they can get from you and will not be upfront and will just get rid of your family member if they have to actually care for them.
