Independent Living Services

Independent Living Services is a residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities founded and developed by Dr. H. Michael Day and his wife Julie Day.  Our program has helped individuals and their families for the past 30 years.  We provide individualized services, directed at teaching skills to increase independence, while enriching the quality of life for the individuals, their families, and their communities.

Our Approach Provides:

OUR TEAM

Who are we

ILS staff are passionate about working as a team to enhance the lives of the people they work with.  They are well-trained in using effective teaching strategies based on the Principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis to increase independence in life skills.

What we do

ILS staff support individuals with developmental disabilities so they can be as independent as possible in their homes and communities.  They address individual needs by teaching and providing assistance in communication, domestic, and personal management activities in a home setting; as well as supporting and encouraging an individual’s preferred hobbies and life passions.

Our Office is located at the corner of Fairview and Five Mile in the Fairview Plaza. Between Harbor Freight and SAS shoe store, you will see an atrium in the corner with large glass windows. Inside those doors, next to Casa Mexico is our humble office.  If you have trouble finding us, please give us a call.
