Angie & Nicole have been absolutely great to work with. Both are extremely friendly and knowledgeable with all aspects of the facility. They took the time to answer all of our questions and we feel very comfortable with having our loved one become a full time resident at Harmony at Hockessin. We strongly recommend this beautiful, professionally run place to anyone looking.

Everything was going good for the past 5 months, but food available & quality has decreased, was told that the higher ups said they were spending too much on food. Not getting all that was promised.

Bunch of liars, find a different facility. My wife and I toured the facility with my father who has dementia. The facility was still being built and finished, no residents had moved in at this point. Everything was amazing, they sold it really well and we put down a deposit to hold a room for my father. As time passed and dates were moved back because of their terrible mismanagement we remained hopeful and we were reassured via email that they were just waiting on licensing. Finally we were advised to setup doctors appointments and get our final paperwork in order for move in and that they would be moving in two residents a day. Without warning a week later we received a call that my father would be denied a spot at Harmony because they don't have the staff to take care of him. The whole process seems very misleading and mismanaged. I believe my father was discriminated against. You are a memery care facility that is opening for the first time. You either chose not to hire enough staff to run your facility or there is another reason that you refuse to mention. Either way my father will continue to live with us as we start over and look for a new facility. 0 out of 5 stars. Very unprofessional operation.

My mother recently moved into an independent living apartment here. So far, our experience has been nothing short of stellar. From the so kind and helpful concierge staff to the marketing director (Courtney) and to all of the staff we encounter, a smile and service orientation seem to be job number one. The food is still a work in process, but I very much enjoyed a club sandwich there and my mother shares that she is very pleased with the (near) restaurant quality offerings. The facility is brand new, so it's in great condition, and we hope that this will be maintained. The activities that have been offered, along with the opportunities for social interaction, have been a great benefit to my mother and our family. I have so appreciated that the staff seem to act almost as a proxy for family members in that they encourage participation, appear to care genuinely for the residents and facility and, most importantly, ensure a safe and rewarding environment. The move in process was very smooth and the apartment is appointed simply and logically. I also appreciate that the ED, Frank, reaches out regularly to residents and family members and also provides opportunities to share developmental feedback. My mother further shares that all of the residents with whom she comes in contact seem to be friendly and outgoing and that there is not a sense of classism that one may encounter at other facilities. Thank you for providing a sense of easy to our family and my mother as she continues to enjoy her new home.

Shopping for family. Don't know final outcome but much better option than a buy-in alternative over PA state line. Impressed by sales and tour. Genuine staff. People looked happy. Didn't feel pressured!!!
