Living at Harbor’s Edge has been an incredible experience. The dining is outstanding, there are so many great fitness and wellness opportunities, and the programs always keep life interesting and engaging. Transportation is convenient, the staff is wonderful, and I’ve made lasting friendships with such fascinating neighbors. The elegant setting and spectacular waterfront views make it feel like a five star resort I’m proud to call home. I’m especially glad I made the move early enough to fully enjoy everything this community has to offer.”

I had my first visit yesterday when visiting family. The place is more wonderful than I realized. The security alone provides a sense of safety. Guests need to check in and have their picture taken. First floor reminds me of a nice hotel. The flower arrangements are real! They offer a theater, activity rooms (pool, ping pong , puzzles etc ). There is also a nice fitness center with a pool and a hot tub. I haven't seen the dining room or library but I am told they have an excellent burger and the library has a variety of different reads. There are different floors depending on the residents' needs. There is assisted living floor , a mental illness floor and retirement community floor. The units are large and customized. The view of the Elizabeth river from the "old" building is gorgeous. I do know they have medical and physical therapy on site too which is very convenient. I've only heard good things about the quality of care. So far I am very pleased with where my family is going to be living out the rest of their many years. I will be visiting often.<br>Lastly, it is very convenient that Dumar's and Orapax are so close. Highly recommend dining there!

While the facility itself is is nice, it does not stand behind the practitioners. a patient requested services and was provided services, and then decided he did not want to pay for services. because he is some old retired norfolk judge, he felt entitled to stiff the practitioner and his staff for their time and services, opting instead to dictate his own price. he then attempted to pay by check and using some shysterism he learned at work, tried to turn the check into a contract that if I signed it he would be free and clear of all debts. Sorry Jerome, it doesn't work that way. We just threw his check in the trash. Funny thing is, he could've used his insurance and paid nothing. Adios. If you are a Medical Professional, avoid.

All of the apartments have interesting views. Transportation is provided to the many cultural activities such as theater, symphony, opera and museums.
