My husband needed a rehab place after back surgery. Maybe if he were just anyone in the public he wouldn’t have needed them, however, he’s also had Parkinson’s for the past 24 yrs. So, he really needed more help. My dad had been at Bay Primary care and they literally killed him - so, nope, wasn’t gonna go there. Hampton is older inside. But the difference in staff is night and day! My hubby was freaked out the whole time. I think he was worried he’d be stuck there. The nurses were awesome with him! And PT had their hands full (2problems and all). But they got him ready to go home in just over 2 weeks, just as they thought!! There is LITTLE room around the beds, 2people visiting was VERY difficult. And the first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell of urine. That goes away, mostly, or ya get used to it. I put an air freshener in my hubbly’s room and problem solved! My hubby said the food was pretty good. Remember, he has Parkinson’s, so with a limited sense of smell he liked the food. You can always order door dash! Between Bay Primary care and Hampton - Hampton is far superior as care goes. It always helps to have family or a care giver visit and help out with their loved one. I spent a couple to 4 hrs each day visiting. It pooped me out as I have some heavy health problems. But my hubby was grateful for anything I could do. Those nurses are busy! They answer call buttons pretty quick! Let’s put it this way…if I need a rehab place after surgery I’ll be hoping they have a bed for me in Hampton.
