Those porta potties were disgusting; they’re not even stable… I have to use the restroom so bad rn… the wooden trail needs to be completely redone. The park structure is nice, but it’s only for big kids… need a little kids park structure in addition too. The nature along the bridge is captivating. 💜

I moved two Riverwalk Meadows on September 1st 2025. I have a beautiful two bedroom apartment that faces the river. It's a very, very short walk down to the Riverfront where there is a nice swing you can set and watch the ducks and the cranes and all the water stuff going on. I'm looking forward to enjoying the fireworks up close and personal there. The people I have met are awesome, very friendly, very helpful. The manager is excellent. He(Greg) smiles, he calls you by name and says how is your day going & how How are you doing today? He is very polite. I feel very, very lucky to have been able to move to Riverwalk Meadows. It's the best move I've ever done. My apartment is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful apartment. It has brand new carpet, freshly painted walls. The kitchen has full size appliances,a full size oven, not a tiny little apartment oven. A full size Refrigerator/ Freezer. The only thing it doesn't have is a dishwasher, BUT they do allow tenants to have countertop dishwashers or roll up dishwashers that you can hook up to the sink. I do have a Countertop Dishwasher, but it won't fit under my cupboard,so I have to get a rolling cart that I can put the dishwasher on, and then just roll it out of the way when I'm not using it. It's so nice to have a spare bedroom. It's nice if I have guests over I have a place for them to sleep. It's just awesome I have a beautiful view of the river, if I sit in my living room or either one of the bedrooms I can look right or straight down at the river. Thr Riverwalk Pier is a very short walk to it. I just feel truly truly blessed to live there. They do activities which is what I was looking for. I I'm a very social people person. We have Bingo, Potlucks, Exercise group, Game night. It's just the most wonderful place to be with friendly people that are willing to help you with anything you need. My friends that have actually came & seen My apartment were absolutely amazed how beautiful it is. It's a very beautiful apartment and I feel truly blessed to live at Riverwalk Meadows. I highly recommend it. It's for 55 years and older and they do take Section 8, which is awesome. It's a fully enforced smoke-free building. They can't smoke anywhere in the building or on the grounds, except for one small designated smoking spot, and that's the only place they're allowed to smoke. If they're caught smoking anywhere else on the grounds or building it's I'm told automatic eviction. I have noticed nobody tries to break that smoking rule, nobody tries to smoke inside. It's so wonderful to walk in a building and smell a fresh clean building. The building smells so clean all the time. I don't know if they have a professional cleaner that comes in or who does the cleaning but it's very, very clean. It's nice each floor has a small little Community Room that has a Coffee Pot & a microwave. Somebody always makes a fresh pot of coffee on each floor, which is very inviting. I truly appreciate that I have been so happy and so blessed to be there. Everyone is so, so friendly. I like Bingo,so I've met some Bingo Buddies there, which is so much fun. I can't say enough good things about Riverwalk Meadows, other than if you're looking for a place that's for 55 years & older. If you're looking for a smoke-free building that, enforces their smoking policy, then this is the right place to be. If you're looking for very friendly people, this is the right place to be. I highly recommend Riverwalk Meadows by 1,000% or more.

Comment: I currently lease a two bedroom apartment for almost 2 years. I moved here because it was advertised as being barrier free. When I visited to see the apartments I assumed that there was another entrance (maybe in the front of the building facing the river) because of being told the complex was barrier free. I lived a distance from the complex and did most most the paperwork by phone and mail. I am fully disabled and use an electric wheelchair and scooter. Management was fully aware of this. The following information is verifiable. One of the biggest problems for me is you cannot even get in the building because the only door to get in opens outward and is NOT handicapped accessible and also very hard to enter and bring in groceries by some of the other tenants. There is no security for packages delivered by USPS. They sit in the common area on the floor next to the mailboxes. So if you're expecting a package you go through all of them and see everybody else's personal mail I personally had one package stolen. They refused to make any changes. According to local postmaster there's nothing they can do. Delivery confirmation through USPO does not help. He said this is unusual for apartments. There are no thermostats in the apartment. Just a dial that goes 1 through 5. Which in my case has never worked properly and has needed a lot of attention. The heat just stays on and you can't turn it off. As of today it's still not fixed. There is no overhead lighting in the bedrooms. The water in the toilet gets very nasty, a build up of black material that turns into chunks sometimes when flushed It seems to be a problem on my floor. I would NOT recommend drinking the water. I live on the third floor, both summer and winter you have no control over the heat. It is very hot always. I have to run an air conditioner nine months out of the year in my bedroom to keep the temperature below 80 degrees. Any repairs or problems need to be reported to management. There is very little communication between management and maintenance. Anything you want done you have to contact them at least 2 times. It is frustrating, but if your persistent enough you can get things done. There is also no respect for your privacy. I always ask to please give me a call first before a visit or inspection as I spend a lot of time in my bedroom. Either they do it on purpose or as I say no communication.. I also had to install a security system because people kept walking in my apartment. That problem seems to be remedied. By a change in tenants. Another problem for me is the kitchen is very small and the smoke detector in the hall will go off if you try to broil in the oven or use the stove to fry anything. The Fire Department shows up here on a regular basis for that reason. Even when you dial 9-1-1 They still have to make contact with you and reset the system. I was told that mine was an older one and they would install a newer one which was just done. So when I tried to pan fry a steak the fire department showed up again. I was told there very sensitive because this is a senior facility. This discourages you from cooking and setting a fire I guess. It took 2 fire inspections and 7 months for me to get the new one installed. This could be a nice place to live for naive senior citizens. It is 90% women. Many who seem to spend a lot of time in the common area on the first floor by the entrance. Some of these people are always asking me and my guests what your doing and where you're going and ask uncomfortable questions. (very nosey). They are very helpful for letting me and my guests in the complex. These are my personal experiences. The other tenants that use scooters need help to get in and out of the building. For me if I want to get back in this building and I'm alone. I have to wait for someone to show up so that I can get in my own place. I believe that the doors in the entrance of this building are not up to code and violate the Fair Housing Act and the ADA. The end of part 1.
