They have been refurbishing the facility and it looks absolutely amazing. I know when the project is completed it’s gonna look just like a brand new building. Staff is very happy. They’re always pleasant to talk with and they always make sure to address any concerns.

I wanted to let other's know that my husband was at Gulf Shore for 9 months before he passed away in his sleep. All of the staff at Gulf Shore were very pleasant and helpful and so kind. I was very content how comfortable they made for him til he passed away. God bless everyone there and may they continue to give a peaceful reinsurance to every family and all individuals they come in contact with. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My mother was sent there for rehabilitation after a stay in the hospital. She has been bed ridden for quite some time and they were going to try and get her somewhat mobile again. Her P.T.A. Mark has done great work with her so far and my mother likes him. He is always willing to answer my questions and has a super attitude. Her nurse Hailey called me weekly at the start to keep me posted on how her condition was. She was very polite and answered all my questions. As well as Gemma (hope I spelled it right) who i have spoken to many times while there. She has always made the time to answer my questions and is kind. Yvonne the social worker has been very friendly and has always kept me up to speed on what has been going on with my mother. when it was decided she needed long term care she assisted me with what I needed and my mother will now be able to stay there. Ruth the medicaid specialist made all my dealings with medicaid somewhat smooth and less of a headache. Her and Yvonne have always made time for me and always have a smile for me even if I wave at them when I'm visiting. I've found the place clean and everyone I've had contact with has been pleasant from the dining room, the aids that take care of my mom, the nursing staff and therapy staff are nice, friendly and caring. I'm also pleased that since she is is not mobile that they try to keep her socialized and that the social coordinator makes sure to include her in the functions they have going on there. I was worried about finding a place for my mother and all I can say is that everyone I have had contact with so far has been great at easing this transition for her and our family. I have noticed a difference in my mother being more interactive and she has a better attitude. Thank you everyone there!

My uncle was a resident of Gulf Shores for the last two years of his life. In addition, he spent time there after knee replacement several years ago. The therapy department is great. Nicky, Tess and Brie all treated him like a friend and really helped with his mobility issues. Andrea in Social Services is very responsive and friendly. She listened to my concerns and was quick to take action. As I live two hours away, I would visit on the weekends. Jasmine and Dora were incredible nurses to him and were in communication with me about his health. There are many other staff members who treated my uncle with respect and kindness The staff really makes Gulf Shores. The majority of people I encountered truly care about the residents.

My mom has been here for post-surgery rehabilitation for about a week now. So far so good. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, friendliness of the staff and how all of the patients/residents always seem to be smiling. I was also very happy to see that there are 3 wings and they try to keep the long-term residents together and those who are there for shorter stays together. The nurses and staff are super attentive. Thanks to their team for taking such good care of mom!
