I have been a resident for almost a year. Heard bad things about the facility, but I really like it here. I get great therapy and really good care from my nurses and especially my cnas. Yes. They are short handed like everyone else. My room cleaner comes if not everyday, every other day. They have great activities. Food is okay, like other places. I have the option to go to somewhere else and I made the choice to stay. And plan to be here for quite sometime. My needs are intense and they take good care of them.

The staff is great. All the CNA are very ood and respond in a reasonable amount of time. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are excellent. I progressed at a good rate. They keep it clean. The only down side is the food. Poor quality and undercooked. Something they should fix.

giving 1-star because it won't allow me to give zero stars. My mother in law was sent to Granite, after being at YRMC East for a week and a half in December. She was at Granite for 3 weeks and was not rehabilitated at all. The Administrators only care about money and getting their 5-star rating with the State regulators back. We had to take my mother in law back to the hospital because she did not receive the care she needed at Granite. Now, the hospital is trying to discharge her back to Granite, even though we have been in communication with the Administrators at another facility that has a bed available and takes her insurance. It's become pretty clear that the Administrators at Granite and YRMC East have some kind of racket going on, my guess is some kind of financial kick-back system. We are definitely going to be reporting this to the State Ombudsman.

After reading all the reviews I was very scared to have my dad stay here for rehabilitation. My dad had good care, one of the nurses (Vicky) was always nice to her patients and my dad was her patient. I have to say staff gets busy, but they do their best. Yes, food is not the best, but it is decent. I think at times housekeeping is not the best either floors can be dirty, but they try to keep it as clean as they can. I know a lot of these places are short staff. My dad received good care while he was there. I would try to check on him daily, he was always happy. All the therapists were very nice.
