I decided to switch my grandmother, who I care for, from a pretty subpar hospice in the area—and all I can say is WOW. WOW. WOW. Everyone I’ve come across has been so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They treat my grandmother like she’s their own family and always go the extra mile, which means more than I can put into words during a time like this. A big thank you to Cathy, Rebecca, Jessica, and all the staff who have helped us through such a hard and stressful time—we’re truly grateful for you. I needed to have my grandmother readmitted pretty quickly so her equipment wouldn’t get picked up—because the other hospice absolutely would have taken everything, even her bed, after discharging her… even after I won my appeal five times. I’m sharing a few of my experiences so people understand just how much Compassus stands out—especially since we don’t have many options up here. The prior hospice couldn’t keep a doctor on staff and ended up using an OBGYN from Scottsdale who wasn’t versed in hospice care and decided my grandmother—who very clearly needed it—did not. Honestly? WHAT A BLESSING IN DISGUISE. Compassus was there the same day I called. The consistency alone has been a gift—no constant staff turnover, no chaos, no added stress. My grandmother is more comfortable, and our whole family finally feels at ease. With the previous hospice, the lack of support and the way we were treated added so much unnecessary stress. There is NONE of that here. This team truly works together for the benefit of the patient. They advocate, they communicate, and they show up. They even helped us discover benefits my grandmother qualified for that we didn’t even know existed—which has made a real difference in her care. The on-call team has also been amazing—they’ve always been there when we needed them. That was not our experience before. At one point, the previous hospice refused to come out for an issue that, while not major, still needed attention. I was told she could “wait until Monday” because other patients mattered more and they were short-staffed. I could never imagine Compassus handling things that way. I already knew the last hospice wasn’t on the ball, but Compassus has truly shown me what hospice care should look like. If you’re searching for hospice care, this is hands down the best. And I don’t say that lightly—the difference is night and day.

My mother received the greatest care from God's angels, the Compassus team. The compassion and gentle care they took for my mother truly was a blessing. My sister and I felt welcomed on the first visit. The nurses went above and beyond their duties, ensuring we understood the process and what to expect in her last days, and that we had everything we needed. Compassus of Prescott is truly a blessing. The facility is clean, beautiful, and unique inside. It has been a year since my mother passed. One of the greatest gifts I have experienced is the bereavement letters sent from Joel Boyd, the Grief Educator. The letters and pamphlets I received were of great help during my worst days, weeks, and months. These mailings from Joel have been invaluable throughout this year. I cannot thank you enough for sending them. Thank you to all the angels of Compassus.

I was SO very impressed with the genuine care and expertise given to my mother administered by Nurse Becca and her assistants over the past several months in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Mom wanted most of all to remain in her home and have peaceful surroundings. Becca and her coworkers were like angels handling every need and concerns Mom had while making her comfortable along with helping Mom's husband. She received so much attention and care, day and night. Always just a call away. Incredible service!!! I could not have wished for better care for Mom. Thank you!

If you're like me, and you want to keep loved ones at home for their care. I highly recommend Compassus. All of the staff in the office are professional, kind and compassionate and most of all respectful of patients and their families. I can't stress enough how good it felt to have Heidi, Whisper, Sadie, Christy, Heather, Julie, Rachel, Jamie, Wade, Venecia, and if I forgot any names I apologize but I wanted to put as many as I could in my review of our family's experience with these wonderful compassionate people. They love what they do, and it shows. Thank you for always answering any question or concern I had along the way. From start to finish, they helped us get through it all and I felt so at ease knowing my loved one was in good hands. My loved one had Medicare and so it was 100% covered which was great, I didn't have to worry about costs for meds and supplies needed. I was able to focus more on care and our nurses and aids handled that stuff. Eternally grateful, thank you again, all of you! 🌹♥️✨️ Vella Family
