Grand Way Seniors

Grand Way Commons is an affordable senior housing community in South Burlington, Vermont, offering 91 one- and two-bedroom apartments for older adults. Located on Farrell Street just off Shelburne Road, the community has been part of Cathedral Square's mission of advancing healthy homes and caring communities since 1977.

The community provides support through a full-time SASH coordinator and part-time wellness nurse, along with social, educational, and recreational programming. A day program available to both residents and the public offers a safe, supervised setting for older adults with physical or mental limitations to socialize, recreate, and participate in activities.

Amenities include a commercial kitchen, dining room, community room, and lounge on the first floor. All utilities are included in rent except telephone, internet, and cable TV. The community offers tax-credit and subsidized apartments and accepts Section 8 vouchers, making housing accessible to those with limited incomes.

Grand Way Commons benefits from an excellent location adjacent to shopping, a health club, and pharmacy, with supermarkets, pharmacies, eateries, and retail stores just across the street. Downtown Burlington and the UVM Medical Center are nearby, and a Green Mountain Transit bus stop is located one block away, with SSTA transportation also available.
