Our mother has been a resident with this facility off and on for the greater part of this year. Most of her time was spent in the Skilled Nursing side of the facility, but she has now transitioned into Assisted Living.
Our immediate first impression was a little disappointing, but we entered on a weekend and there is less staff available to help with any sort of "Move-In" procedure. I did recommend to Heather Fenner (who is AMAZING!) that they should have a packet or welcoming video to watch that familiarizes those new residents to the facility, as it seems overwhelming when you first arrive with your loved one.
But, since settling in...My mother has received excellent care from the staff on all of her stays within the Grand Meadows facility. The nursing staff is attentive and helpful in almost every aspect of a person's stay. Thank you, Pam Fassbinder!
The CNA's are amazing and many work long days and handle so much of the hands on care throughout the day, they truly are such a vital and valuable asset to this facility!
Physical and Occupational Therapy that my mother received on her multiple stays was nothing short of top notch. They are excellent at what they do and Mike, (Head of PT) is a miracle worker when it comes to motivating his patients. He is also a huge asset to this facility!
Doug, the van driver is incredibly patient and so helpful when it came to taking my mom to and from her appointments.
Lastly, the administration staff...from Theresa at the front desk, to Heather, Kristie, and Madi and all of the others- everyone has been nothing but helpful, professional and so incredibly courteous. Everyone has made our many experiences with this facility so much more pleasant than I ever expected. I sleep better at night knowing that my mom is in this facility and being cared for by such a wonderful and caring staff.
