Community Care Center

Community Care Center in Stuart, Iowa is an independent skilled nursing facility with assisted living services through its affiliated Willows residence. The community is overseen by a volunteer board of directors from Adair and Guthrie counties and has served the Stuart area since opening in 1970 with 25 residents.

The Willows Assisted Living Complex serves individuals 55 years and older, offering private apartment living with two floor plan options. Residents may personalize their apartments with their own furnishings, photos, and mementos. The community features 24-hour staffing and includes a commons area where meals are served family-style, along with common amenities such as a game room, television, and media facilities. All utilities including electric, heat, cooling, water, sewer, and garbage are included.

Community Care Center provides skilled nursing and long-term care services. The Evergreens, a 12-bed secure unit completed in 2008, offers a homelike environment specifically for residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. A Therapy Suite provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, and a beauty salon is available to residents.

The facility has expanded significantly over its history through renovation and addition projects, including the Rock Island hallway in 1986 and major additions in 1996–1997 that included an Activity/Dining Room and rehabilitation space. Recent years have brought updates to common areas, resident rooms, and hallways with new flooring, fixtures, and furniture.
