My Grampa was well and respectfully cared for here until he passed due to cancer. The nurses were present and attentive and the Chaplain came to sit with him as well. I actually teared up at the genuine care being given to him. I will always be grateful. My Nana also recovered there from a fall she had suffered, she appreciated the care and truly enjoyed the food.

I rarely saw smiles, memory loss patients never went outside because there were not enough nurses or helpers to attend to them. A bill of $40 was put on the plate for lunch. Individuals that worked there would not defend the patients even though they saw abuse (was told they didn't want to see it).

Everyone that cared for my husband had the same goal. The teams communicated very well to achieve the same outcome. Physical Therapy was consistent in achieving the strength needed to go home . Charlie loved his CNA's and their smiles everyday . He enjoyed all of the meals and fellowship at the table . Being in a Christian environment for care was inspirational and made him feel comfortable . Thank you and God Bless Good Samaritan Center.

Update: I never asked the facility, where my mother currently resides, to send a referral to Good Samaritan. This was done without my consent. ************************************* On 5/1/2023, I spoke with Diana Friar in Admissions at Good Samaritan (Good Sam) on the phone. After reviewing my mother's records sent by the hospital, she provided me with verbal approval that Good Sam will accept my mother. A week later, however, I've learned from the hospital that Good Sam has officially declined my mother without providing any reason! I left several messages with Good Sam but they've not even returned my calls. Very uncool. GOOD SAM is BAD SAM. Shame on them. Now I can only speculate the possible concerns that Bad Sam had about my mother.

The director of one of the wings will not allow any information to be released to spouses or families. Only time any information is given is if there is a major issue but you have to ask about any issues. During visits saw some, some of the staff being unprofessional, laughing at residents or yelling at residents. Information requested over three weeks ago as not been sent. Residents are kept indoors most of the day unless visited by family and taken outside. Minimal to no rehab give to my friend. Send your family there if you want to forget about them, if you care about them find another facility. Not very Christian like place.
