This is without a doubt the best facility we have ever had to deal with. Both of my parents have stayed here before and we are more than pleased with the care they have received. My daddy passed yesterday while in palliative care here. My family and I can not get over how well the staff took care of him during his last days here. There’s a difference between caring for someone as a job, and genuinely caring for someone. These ladies genuinely care for their patients. Misty, Calyn, Ella, Layne, Ashton, and Kenzie… we can never repay you enough. May God bless you all tremendously for your wonderful service.

I would appreciate the availability of a rating option that allows for no stars. There are a few Certified Nursing Assistants who demonstrate care within this facility. However, the healthcare provider's level of professionalism is lacking, as they fail to maintain open communication with the family. Instances of deceit are prevalent, often used to conceal their own neglectful behavior. Regrettably, individuals in the final stages of life are sometimes left to endure a slow and excruciating passing due to lack of timely intervention, justified by the unconscious state of the patient. One particularly distressing incident involved Christy, who callously informed a grieving spouse that they needed to make arrangements for the patient's discharge home on March 8th, only for the patient to pass away that very night. Christy's actions in this regard are deplorable and merit deep reflection. The family had to specifically request pain medication to alleviate the patient's suffering, who was experiencing the death rattle. Despite clear indications of distress, it is likely that this was the first time his vital signs were actually monitored. Additionally, it is crucial to note that just before his passing this past Monday, he was left seated in a wheelchair for an extensive period of 5 hours - a fact disclosed by one of the CNAs, who initially attempted to downplay the duration by suggesting it was shortly after lunch. Given these distressing circumstances, I wholeheartedly advise against entrusting the care of your loved one to this facility during their final moments.

This is a great group of people who do a good job, My Grandparents moved down from Washington State so my parents could help care for my Grandpa. When they finally had to place him in a nursing home they had the misfortune of putting him another place. They paid out of pocket. My Grandpa was mistreated, they didn't want my family there every day (because then you NOTICE things), he had bruises and then they claim he fell weeks ago and then a CNA told my parents he was being mistreated and they weren't being told about this and that. So after being ignored about this, my parents removed him and placed him in the Lafayette Health Care Center. Gee, no more bruises no more of these alleged falls, they loved that the family came every single day to spend with him. The knew it was better for him and that it means they could help out other patients more. My Grandpa died and they were very helpful with everything. We appreciate all they did for him and they helped him have a better quality of life.
