My mom was a patient there after her broken hip surgery. The care is exceptional. The entire team, the administrator, nursing director and nurses, medical assistants, social worker and physical therapists were very welcoming and caring. They also assured the continuum of care after my mom's discharge home.

My stay was only for one week. It was the first time I've accepted the recommendation to go into a rehabilitation center rather than home after a number of surgeries & hospital stays & wish that I were able to individually rate departments. The care staff(CNA's) were great & very helpful. With the only exception of urinals not being checked & emptied regularly overnight, I really have no complaints. The kitchen & meals were horrible. Too many times I was served meals that were not what I requested, items that I either don't eat or just didn't want or meals were ice cold. I addressed these problems a number of times & was told that the head of the food service was going to visit me personally & could address with him, but that meeting never happened & the meals just continued to be unacceptable. If not for Uber eats & my loving wife, I would have missed a lot of meals. The most disappointing & disturbing issue was with mismanagement of medications. The Dr was great & i appreciated the time she took to listen & address my concerns & insuring that I had enough medication after discharge until I could secure a new PCP. There is a lack care or of communication with the nursing staff. After confirming medication that I took regularly at home I was still administered one that I haven't taken in a number of yrs & only realized after I requested to know what exactly I was being given. I am currently being aprescribed a controlled pain medication for postop back surgery & a few falls I've had since the surgery. I only requested this medication in the evening for relief in order to sleep. After three nights I was told that I had no more & that the hospital only sent a small amount over. Now my understanding was that upon being released from the hospital, they sent over my medication list for the center to fill, but still unclear on exactly what the process was. My last several nights I went without thismedication, waiting for a new prescription & took muscle relaxers for some relief. After my insistence of being discharged before Xmas & I ready to run, or limp quickly out of there, I was brought paperwork to sign in regards to medication. I was then asked to sign their book along with the nurse to confirm the controlled medication that I was leaving with. At this time I was informed that my refill for pain was received the day before my discharge, but I was never informed or offered for relief. It's primarily my fault for being in such a hurry to get home during my wife's lunch break, that I didn't pay attention or count meds in bubble pack. I was told that I was signing for one prescription that I was not given to take home & I also signed for 21 of the pain meds to only find out Xmas night that there were only 15 & six were clearly taken out. I haven't attempted to contact administration only because I'm still very angry & disappointed over my first experience in a rehabilitation center. I do hope that they address these areas because they do have a great support staff. But for me to see & experience these issues in just one week, a hard look needs to be made into the number of others who have been there a lot longer TY for taking the time to read

Everyone at Sharon helped us, as a family, care for my mother in law, Nancy. Everyone always had a smile for us. The activities ladies, physical therapist , the business team, the director, the nurses , the receptionists ,as a team I could feel that people had her best interests at heart. A big shout out to Violette , the head nurse. She not only cared about Nancy, she cared about us too. She always made a point to check in with me and reassure me everything was going to be alright , and she always managed to get in a great big hug ! Thank You!

My 84 year old father broke his hip and Foremost in Sharon, MA provided rehabilitation services for his recovery. The staff are kind and professional. They communicate information in a timely and friendly manner. They have made his goal to return to his assisted living apartment a priority.
