I have used home healthcare many times but never been impressed as much as I am with first light. I needed somebody within two hours on a Friday night and they were able to perform. I could not make a commitment for the next few days but they still booked somebody and I could call anytime to cancel with no charge. The girls who came was so sweet and very polite. I would recommend them highly and will use them again if I ever need somebody.

Love the caregiving staff! They have always been incredibly sweet with my mom who has dementia. They are sweet and patient. The office staff worked with my needs and found me a caregiver within 24 hours!!!

I have been using First Light Home Care for 3+yrs(I think that’s correct?). In that time, there has been a wide range of caregivers and their abilities. I have given a 5 star rating because I have found overall, that First Light is very responsive to our needs and wishes. It’s very important to communicate your expectations and when doing so, also communicate what is especially unacceptable. When I have done this, I have had very quick resolution to any problems. I have utilized caregivers in assisted living facilities, rehab, hospitals, and in the home. Most of the caregivers are very dependable, kind, and considerate when caring for our family member. A few have not been trained to give complete, bedridden patient care but that is resolved very quickly with proper communication. There were a few instances of tardy arrivals(mostly in the beginning) but overall, I am told ahead of time when this will occur and can make adjustments as needed. If for any reason the caregiver and your family member are not a good fit, changes are made without anyone having to feel guilty. I recommend First Light. They work very hard to be able to provide quality care.

Firstlight Homecare has made my life so much easier. I moved to Huntsville a few weeks ago, and I’ve been searching for caregiving services for my mother who has dementia. I’m glad we found Firstlight. I travel a ton for work so this has really made our transition to a new city so much easier.

I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I'm a busy business owner so it's been a struggle to find help with my aging mother.
