They need more knowledge and continuing education to take care of any patients with dementia. My father was moved 4 times in 6 months in this home. It sure didn’t help his dementia. We never saw the activities director to try to give him activities to help his adjustment or even for distraction. Administration never walked the halls or introduced themselves. Administration kept themselves locked in their offices. DON need to be more hands on and involved.

My mother entered this facility in the rehab section in 2023 and transitioned into long term care for about 6 months before leaving to spend her final days in hospice care in early 2024. This facility was clean and provided adequate care. We did have some issues with assorted things, but when I contacted the facility with my grievances, they were corrected. If your family member is there, you must be proactive in this way. I would like to thank Jessica in transportation for being particularly kind- her empathy is palpable and she is a beautiful soul. I would also like to thank the lady in housekeeping (I did not learn her name) who sang Happy Birthday to my mother in Spanish- she was very touched by this small, but sweet gesture. Rhonda the social worker was very responsive when I had concern over some things and I appreciated that. The final thing I want to bring up is something I promised my mother I would follow up on- it is the food. In her words, some of the food she was presented with "looked liked something the dog threw up." I was present for many meals that she was served, even took photos of some of the meals, so I can attest to the low quality of the food. Dinner may be something like a piece of lunchmeat on very stale white bread, with a cup of canned soup. Or a scoop of watery tuna on a wilted lettuce leaf. Hotdogs with what looked like the cheapest wieners. Pears from a can, that were hard for mom to chew- two nights in a row. How do you even get hard canned pears unless you are using the cheapest possible products? The food was neither fresh nor healthy in any way whatsoever. First of all, for sick and elderly patients, nutrition should be a primary concern. I can't imagine anyone in rehab getting the strength they need from this substandard food, and for the long-term residents, well, food is one of the last pleasures they may have in life. I can imagine they feel like they are little better than dogs or prison inmates with the quality of food they are given at this facility. Considering the basic cost of being at this nursing home is around $8,000 per month, one would think that healthier, more appetizing food would be provided. Obviously this is not the fault of the nurses, aids, housekeeping or even the people preparing the food. This is an administrative issue and no doubt a way to cut care costs to increase profits for the corporation. To reiterate, the care was adequate. I could sleep at night knowing my mother was being attended to, and that meant a lot. There is definitely room for improvement, especially in regards to the food and I do hope this review reaches someone in administration.

My grandmother was at Fianna Rehab and the facility is very clean and ALL of the staff is AMAZING. My grandmother was treated with respect and love by everyone. The staff is very helpful and loving. She was well fed and entertained. It does not have the appearance of a Nursing Home. They treat everyone like family. I would highly recommend this facility to everyone!!

My mother-n-law spent her last years at this wonderful place. She received the best care from some of the best staff in long term nursing. I want to thank the staff for giving her quality care that exceeded our expectations due to her condition.

I have never seen a team that cared about the residents like they were there own. Fianna Hills Nursing And Rehab is the best nursing home in the state. It is not easy putting a loved one in a nursing home but this place makes my life and my loved ones life a little bit easier. Things happen in long term care that are uncontrollable but thats just long term care. This team with do what ever it takes to make any situation right. I would recommend this nursing home to any family.
