My father has been in the facility for five years. The nurses and nurses aides are always prompt in his care. There is always activities to keep the residents engaged. The kitchen tries to bring in fresh produce for meals, example during corn on the comb and tomato season. If there are any questions regarding anything from billing to health care, there is always someone willing to help. And they have a remarkable record keeping Covid out of the facility.

Farmington Village has made a profound difference in the life of my mother and our family. My mother could no longer remain in the home due to persistent falls and the dire need for professional assistance. Her will to live was low. FV provided exceptional support in gaining Medicaid approval for her transfer. It provided her with a clean, nurturing and competent care environment. All levels of FV staff from nursing to social services to occupational therapy to administration commuinicate with my mother and I, as her POA, on a consistent and timely basis addressing all of the concerns that goes with end stage life care. Their menu and food choices are superb. Their staff earned the trust of my mother, which is not easy, to allow them to provider her with the most intimate and private hygienic care. FV staff exhibits longevity of employment which bodes well for the stability and quality of the home. Our family is on a first name basis with most FV staff and our relationships are genuine. FV encourages residents to engage with other residents and staff and to become a meaningful part of its living community. It offers residents good social and recreational activities including to enjoy the outdoors when weather permits. My mother has been so touched by FV that she donated a Christmas Village to the home as a legacy of her feeling of belonging to likely her final home. I enjoy spending hours every visit with my mother and staff and residents. FV has become a home and community for our family. My mother is safe, clean, well cared for, treated personably and given the dignity to live out her final stage of life in as much comfort and peace as one can expect. The staff at FV are so good in an ordinary way which makes them extraordinary. All nursing homes are not created equal; FV is a special place which deserves the title of "home."
