Yesterday, my family received a frantic call from our family friend. They were being transported from FMC to WVU In Morgantown and needed an essential item before leaving. I rushed to buy said item and get to the hospital before transport. Our friend was going be loaded at the ER end of the hospital. The hostile security met me at the door and asked what I wanted. I quickly explained the situation, that my mother had just spoken to the patient and that she was being loaded up as we speak and would be brought down shortly. They angrily stated I could not come in the building due to her not showing in the system as she had been discharged and told me I had to wait in a specific spot outside of the door the EMS would exit from. This was fine except their unnecessary attitude and the fact that it was blazing hot outside. I just said yes sir and stood there in the sun, sweat pouring from me, head to toe, for 10min. Eventually a very sweet woman from registration came out and apologized stating "I'm so sorry, I don't know why they did this to you, please come in and wait right here in the hall, your friend will come right through here" I told her it was ok and I appreciated it and I went in to finish waiting.

A little kindness goes a long way, my friend is extremely ill and suffering and I just needed to get her something she had to have to take with her, that's it, nothing weird or sketchy was happening.

Keep in mind, Mon Marion has a cooler full of cold water outside, in the shade, for anyone to have on these hot days. It takes zero effort to be mindful and kind. Do better, WVU and thank you to the registration lady who did step up and show compassion.

Fairmont hospital do better please, I went to the ER tonight bc I was having a hard time breathing and having bad pain when breathing. We waited in the waited room probably 2 hrs. And then we finally went back to a room. We got to the hospital @11 and left @3:50 AND I did not see the dr one time. And mind you she saw other patients that came in after me. I’m sorry but you ask me what my pain rate is I said a 10 so that mean I’m in pain it’s why I come to the ER tonight get seen asap. I understand they were busy but she saw two patients after they came in before me. And of of them was just to stitch a finger he wasn’t even bleeding out or anything while I’m over here suffering. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE GO TO RUBY AND THIS IS WHY YALL HAVE BAD RATING. This has happen to me twice. I left and didn’t even see the dr we kept asking how much longer they were rude. And the girl that put my IV in was rude. Everyone was very rude I don’t recommend this place at all I thought I would give it a second chance but do better. 😡

Abysmal ! Reporting dr godwin to State Medical Board tomorrow. He threatened me with involuntary psychiatric admission after I declined a totally unnecessary psych consult . I was there for Neurological issues for a well documented Chiari Malformation and retroflexed odontoid with crowding in the foranem magnum. How dare he threaten to have me committed!!!
