Hopefully my experience will be unique. I signed up with visiting angels. When I signed up, the owner was very pleasant and took his time explaining what the group did in great detail. He answered all my questions confirming the care and dedication his group had for their clients. When I visited the office, I was greeted in a friendly manner by the staff. The day I had scheduled for a visit was a no show. I called the office and was told that unfortunately I had not been put on the schedule. I would give visiting angels a second chance but I felt safer putting my mother in a nursing home.

I looked into Visiting Angels because they came highly recommended by friends. The owner came out about 5 weeks ago for an evaluation. My hopes were high. We set a starting date and time. The first week went by and no one showed. I thought it was due to a holiday. The second week went by and no one showed. I called the office and was told they never received my paperwork and they would call me back. I thought this was a simple admin error. They called me back and told me someone would be out the following week. This morning they called and told me 15 minutes after the scheduled time that the caregiver called off sick and wanted to know if they could send someone out tomorrow. At that point I just canceled the services.
