Everyone needs to get their family members out of this facility immediately. I was just there visiting, and I witnessed something deeply disturbing. A woman of color was forcibly removed — her belongings were thrown into the hallway. I saw the administrator snatch her fork right out of her mouth while she was eating, refused to let the staff help her, and then chased her down the hallway and threw her out. This is unacceptable and inhumane.

Reana renfro the admissions nurse is very good at making sure that all the Ts are crossed and helps makes sure that we knew exactly what was going to happen during the transition into the nursing home. She is amazing! And very helpful.

I removed my dad from another facility in February 2025, because of their lack in care. Upon dad entering into Fair Haven he received more care in 24 hours than he had received in 7 days at the other facility. Renea was so helpful in everything. She brought the proper people to me in her office to answer my questions as well as steer me in the right direction to gather all the information they needed to complete the Medicaid part for my dad. I found out that many of the staff have been there for over 10 even 20 years. They all got along like family and laughter filled the air. Many residents passed by and they called them by name. The nurse assessed my dad as soon as he got there. The CNA’s take his vitals daily, that didn’t happen at the other place. Their maintenance personnel were in dad’s room as soon as they heard he had a problem with his tv and it was fixed immediately. Everyone works together to make sure the residents stay is comfortable. The food is amazing and flavorful. On the first full day of my dad’s stay he was in therapy and involved in daily activities. Their doctor on staff visited my dad and found skin cancer on his face. He explained to my mother what she needed to do and the facility would get dad to his doctors office. I can’t say enough about this place. I live over 600 miles away and felt comfortable enough to go back home after placing dad in Fair Haven. I stayed for several days to make sure I was right, and I was. I must make an update to the above post. I placed dad at Fair Haven in February and on March 25, 2025 he passed. The care he received the whole time he was there was amazing. The therapists told me stories about how my dad would tease with them. He was loved and respected by all the staff. Each staff member I ran into as we cleaned out dad’s room had a story to share on how he touched their lives. I am so blessed to have found this place for my dad.

My grandfather stayed at this facility and he had a great experience. Of course we wanted him to be home with us but the staff treated him like family so it put us at ease. The Jessika, the HR Director always came in and asked for his feedback and it made him feel special.
